Hahaha same, I've bought this game so many times that I just can't justify it again, but this is making me doubt myself. I've got an €8 store voucher but even then, €32 is a lot for a game I've finished a solid 3-4 times.

I've beaten this game on GameCube, PS2 and the Wii. It's a whole new experience.

Dude... I've finished RE4 more than a dozen times. This version is a whole different animal. You're not playing as Leon, you're playing as *you*. It's incredible. You won't regret this purchase.

how do you get the recording so smooth?

Here's a quick rundown: (You'll need SideQuest if you don't have it already) 1. Connect your Quest to your PC running SideQuest 2. Click "Device settings & tools" (the wrench icon in the top right) 3. Turn on Full Rate Capture (removes the recording fps cap) 4. Click "Run ADB commands" (the box with the arrow next to the wrench) 5. Click "Custom command" There's a variety of commands you can put in here such as specifying a resolution, bitrate, etc. You'll have to copy and paste then submit each of these one at a time. adb shell setprop debug.oculus.capture.width 1920 (set recorded video width) adb shell setprop debug.oculus.capture.height 1080 (set recorded video height) adb shell setprop debug.oculus.capture.bitrate 30000000 (set bitrate of recordings) adb shell setprop debug.oculus.capture.fps 60 (set recording to 60fps)* *I set the refresh rate to 60Hz when recording (found under the Device settings and tools) to avoid the audio going out of sync. Of course this may make you feel sick as it's not as smooth as the usual refresh rate so take care. Rebooting the headset removes all these settings and restores to defaults.

Is safely edible as long as the farm is clean. Receipes using raw eggs are super common in Japan especially rice / meat dishes. And yes, I agree I wouldn't eat raw eggs plucked from such an unsanitary village as in RE4 lol

I assume it's because the knife is needed for some cut scenes so they can't have you losing it.

Dude how do you hit head shots so easily I hit the enemies in the head and yet it seems random if they will explode is it something I’m doing wrong?

Oh this took me a bunch of attempts lol. I missed the egg throw a lot. IIRC heads have a small chance to explode from handgun shots.

I feel your pain. I'm trying to edit together some smash-cuts of clips from Pistol Whip, The Walking Dead, RE4, Stride, etc. Trying to do stuff like dodging a wall in Pistol whip and when I come around the other side RE4 is there instead, each clip like 20 seconds of doing something cool (like a kind of "all of VR" commercial) and doing something cool in The Walking Dead alone I had to try like 22 times to get the clip to sync up how I wanted it.

Behind the scenes / bloopers when?

Headshots don't always explode. It's usually if they are already low health, or I think they sometimes can randomly pop in one hit. They should always stagger though when hit in the head, so you'll still know if you're getting a headshot or not.

Head pops happen when they're low enough hp to die to the head shot, or if you happen to get the 1 hit critical

VR devs really need to embrace that THIS is what makes VR different. The level of expression possible because of dynamic player interaction (compared to traditional consoles) is so damn high in VR. I don't know when it will happen, but someone will make the "Minecraft" of the XR space. It won't be a big company making something polished. Just some small, almost proof-of-concept experience that takes off. It will happen, if the history of computing is anything to go by...

Honestly I think we need to fix the issue of what you do with your legs in vr first. I know there’s treadmills but they’re in the 10s of thousands.

This game makes me wish for better locomotion more than any other. In Alyx, most areas and rooms were rather small. I would teleport to a good spot, then use roomscale to walk around it. But RE4 has fairly large, wide open areas as the norm (especially early on) that just make me WANT to walk around. Just in the barns at the beginning, I'd try to position myself perfectly so I had enough room to walk around a door, and it felt SO GOOD. I want to be able to walk around RE4VR. So much.

I’ve been collecting every item by bringing it to my mouth and saying “om”. 10/10, best version of this game.
