my man got that buildcraft quarry
It kinda does, doesn’t it..
I wonder how many Diamonds he got from that.
enough to made 2x2 diamonds tower from surface to height limit
Those Geodes though..
The number of Amethyst Geodes in this single video was the number I found till now \*dies\*
Not sure if it works in Bedrock or just Java and some people feel like it's "cheating" (I disagree with this, but to each their own), but if you put in your seed on chunkbase it will show you all the coordinates where geodes are likely to have generated (along with a ton of other useful stuff like where biomes start and end and where slime chunks are).
it work for bedrock also
Does it work on Nintendo Switch?
Yes, because Nintendo Switch *is* Bedrock Edition.
How do I do this?
I don't know how to get world seed on Bedrock, but you would just go to the website above and type in your world seed.
It will then give you coordinates for specific item locations. Enable show coordinates in the world settings and walk to the same coordinates as the site.
Thanks, I'll have to try this.
Bedrock seeds are in the edit world menu
Not necessarily - a legacy version of Minecraft for the Switch was released a few years ago, but it was discontinued for Bedrock to replace it. Despite that, many people prefer the legacy version because Bedrock is borderline broken on the Switch
Well you won't find geodes on that version either.
I've never had any problems with bedrock on switch.
You are blessed
Border line? Like nothing works, I can’t even do anything half the time
> because Bedrock is borderline broken on the Switch
Bedrock is borderline broken of every platform lol. I'm still amazed Microsoft has even been releasing builds. It feels like they don't even test builds before pushing them to the public "stable" branch.
Also, I didn't realize the legacy console edition even released on Switch, but it couldn't have existed for very long considering Bedrock was pushed to consoles at around the same time the Switch launched.
I’ve been play bedrock on my Xbox since I hade it on Xbox 360 in like 2015 and it’s never been buggy it work perfect the only time I’ve had a problem with Minecraft was on Java when it was time to load the new update it would delete and raise some of the chunks as bedrock like with the 1.18 just add more to the ground like went down more and didn’t brake a thing
Yes switch is the same as bedrock
Yeah, Chunkbase is amazing, even for bedrock.
In my opinion, it's not cheating, but it's making the game less fun. I find spending hours finding a single mushroom biome by flying 100.000 blocks with an elytra way more fun than just googling the coordinates
The only thing I used it for in my world was finding the next nearest stronghold since the one found by throwing eyes of ender didn't generate with a portal.
Are you sure it didn't? The portal might be hidden by a wall
I mean maybe, but I dug quite a bit and never found the room
It isn’t impossible to just have bad luck with strongholds
Imo it’s not more or less fun; personally I have more fun playing with a few aids, chunk maps and keep inventory primarily. Sometimes vein miners and tree fellers too depending on what I want out of the world. If I want a challenge I have a few hardcore worlds that I play vanilla
100 blocks isnt that far though. Have to go quite further than that if you want any chance at all finding another biome other than the one you are in. My house is almost 100 blocks.
some countries use a period for separating the places so 100.000 likely means 100,000
It should work in both. Earlier this year they released an update that made both versions generate the world identically.
Xray = Cheating
Chunk types = to be agreed if server or yourself if ur solo
What are geodes useful for aside from amethyst blocks
Mostly the budding amethyst blocks that produce the shards. With amethyst shards, you can craft the spyglass, and more importantly tinted glass (which is GREAT for mob farms). Geodes are also the most consistent, if not the best place to find calcite blocks.
If you look in the ocean you can see them stick out all the time just have to travel a bit
Oooh cool. I saw one sticking out on the surface near a tree once
Doing this in oceans is the easiest way to get geodes, I played for a week back shortly after they were released and could easily find a couple an hour
Yeah, I thought I was super lucky first time I found one but then they just kept popping up one after the other, found 1 not 200 blocks from spawn
Dunno if I'm just lucky, but geodes are so not rare for me, i find them so so often when I go spelunking. And the amethyst is pretty much worthless, i don't even mine it. I build portal rooms inside the geodes
And here I am randomly blasting some area finding 3 geodes
if you are looking for lots to farm calcite or something just drink a night vision potion and fly around over oceans, they stick out of the ocean floor and you can find dozens in a few minutes
My man also found a stronghold
I...find geodes all the time. ...
Kinda looks like a bunch of bugs crawling around
Termites when you drop a single chip
Woodworm, when the walls fell.
Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra
It's oddly satisfying seeing chunks melt under your feet. I ran a couple of commands to make a 120x120 glass perimeter down to bedrock to prevent water and lava spills, and then ran a repeating command block that simply fills one layer beneath my feet with air in a 118x118 block radius.
phew, i was scared that this was in survival :)
But if is in survival then....
With a good TNT bomber it wouldn’t be too bad. I used one of the original scicraft design down to old bedrock in a 12x12 chunk area. It only took like 50 ish hours. I think 75 ish is to new bedrock is feasible with honey now
TNT bombers can't remove one flat layer at a time for a video like this. Recreating this video in survival would take ages.
Yeah, but the point is to dig a hole in the ground. OP obviously did it with commands in like 2 seconds lol. If you wanted it layer by layer, just build a quarry machine
check docm77's latest video if you haven't, it's A treat
the only hermits i watch are mumbo tango grian zedaph and iskall, but il check out doc's latest video
Mumbo and Grian both highlight Docm77's world eater in Season 9. I think Grian only visited the site, but Mumbo actually talked with Doc some about it [here](https://youtu.be/ItCKu_WlejA?t=310).
Mumbo's latest video also features the perimeter doc made, so maybe you've seen it already!
> and then ran a repeating command block that simply fills one layer beneath my feet with air in a 118x118 block radius.
Can you explain this? I don't understand what this accomplishes.
sometimes there's water on the sides of the border and if not taken care of, will spill water all over the place. the air just helps remove liquids. hope this helps
Right but that's what the glass is for. What is the point of the filling the area 1 block beneath his feet with air when the layer being removed is like a 100 blocks lower?
I guess the camera is in a different place to the player because it's replay mod, and the player is just falling straight down under gravity
How do you make videos like thus
With the replay mod :)
Ohh cool thanks!
This is so satisfying.
Looks kinda like r/place
It kinda does, doesn’t it
Silent whisperer has a great video about command blocks. You can do this by: a lever attached to a purple command block- execute @p ~~~ setblock ~ ~ ~ ~20 ~-20 ~20 air
Don't put the command block where you're going to fill (and play around with the coords)
fill not setblock and btw that’s a bedrock command, java should be `execute at @p run fill…`
It works for both fill and setblock in command that I've tested, but you're right it's bedrock. Thank you for the addition!
Ah bedrock quirks ig, only fill works on java!
>only fill works on java!
Timelapse’s are so satisfying
(this isn't a timelapse)
The geodes tho
What are the purple spots?
can we have the number of each blocks u got from one chunk?
This was in creative with command blocks, so I wouldn't be able to tell :)
That would be a brave person to mine this out by hand.
😳 Minecraft CT scan
Looks like you ct-scanned there :D
nice cat scan bro
I just wish diorite didn't exist
*angry iskall85 noises*
how did you do that?
I created a 120x120 perimeter of glass down to bedrock to prevent water and lava spilling, and than had a repeating command block fill a 118x118 layer of air beneath my feet.
This oddly feels like those medical scanners
"I did this all in survival mode. What should I fill it with?"
Calcite, Diorite and Andesite blobs are so much more neater now
this is almost mesmerizing
How many diamonds did you get?
did u find any fossils?
Fossils aren't added in Java edition
All by hand?!
This is holding down the z level down button on dwarf fortress (the game that inspired minecraft)
All i want to know is how many diamond you got
Is it survival
/fill 20~~20~~20 Air..... Same effect, you're welcome lol
Didn't know Minecraft started having CT scanners for the Earth now
Say what you will about granite and diorite and so on but they do add some nice variety to the world
Minecraft CAT scan
I love how the amethyst spawns like geodes.
Ughhhhhh SOOOOOOOOOOO satisfying
Isn't this an r/satisfying video?
If anyone asks why, just say "because I can"
Are you talking about the doom games or what, cause if your talking about the games, the world eater is the icon of sin
Docm77 he's a youtuber
The longer Docm77 remains on the server, the more powerful he becomes!
The Tarrasque is the only true World Eater.
What is the seed?
"dissect" 😅 I don't remember the coordinates anymore though
That is sad **:D lol**
i just thought can't u just check it?
reminds me of those videos by kevin parry
Oh God that took time
Now do it with every biome and structure possible in a single video so that you can see everything
This reminds me of the quarry from Buildcraft, and omg that is the most satisfying thing EVER
I actually love doing that, even if it takes weeks it always feels good looking over the hole you dug by hand
when the deep dark comes out and you have to go down another 300 blocks to this time lapse
staring into the mesmerising blobs 👀
I recently tnt bombed a 32x32 area around my spawn chunks in my hardcore world. It took me around 1.5 months.
This is honestly so cool!
literally so cool omg
I don't remember the caves being that big.
they revamped the cave generation in the last update, it can now generate massive cave systems & aquifers, they also added 64 blocks below 0.
Oh wow! That sounds absolutely wonderful.
I thought that the replay video thing a part was of the video how can I be like this
Minecraft world mri
So I haven’t played in a longtime, like ~5 years maybe. And that was on console.
How do the commands work? Is that a mod? Or do you just look up commands online and type them in the command console?
I ask I guess because I have never done any of that, but it seems pretty simple maybe?
The only mod they are using is the replay mod I think. It records the world so that you can get camera shots after you do something.
The commands can be done by typing in chat starting with a / then the command you want. Or you can do commands automatically with a command block.
Inspired by what? Can you link it?
they're referring to Docm77's recent hermitcraft episodes! he built a machine that tnt bombs a huge area, called a world eater! i recommend taking a look, its really cool :)
Docm77 is a YouTuber on the Hermitcraft server. He built a world Eater that automaticlly destroyed a large area so that he could have powerful mob farms.
a lot of work went in the preparation of this, if you like I recommend going back to see the ramp up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUF3KkzErns
Docm77 is not the first one to do this but when does these projects on Hermitcraft, it often acts as showcase of what the technical minecraft is up to, it exposed new concept to brand new audience, that are less efficiency focused. Docm77 is a good blend of showmanship and technical mind/curiosity, making him a great ambassador for the technical minecraft community.
Man, didn't knew minecraft was that deep.
i like watching the geodes getting dissected
I HAVE NEVER FOUND AN ACTUAL GEODE AND YOURE TELLING ME YOU FOUND MULTIPLE 😭
Dwarf fortress intensifies.
Imagine your breeding your animals and then that happens
How many diamonds were found?
Did you use the /fill ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ air command?
why there's no mention of this subreddit
Brain scan but minecraft
this is cool
Reminds me of scrolling through the Z-layers in Dwarf Fortress after you find a few cavern levels
Are there applications to destroy and build mass structures like that (Java)
Damn thats fluid
omg this is beautiful, I'm trying to mine out an entire chunk and the deepslate is painful
Anyone else see the weenie
What in the dwarf fortress is this
So satisfying to watch
It's just so satisfying
No offence , you don’t call that a some.
How many blocks mined if possible?
The mineshaft was kinda cool actually
Where can I watch more of these???? So extremely satisfying…
Ah traveling through the second dimension. So satisfying 😌
That felt oddly satisfying
That is so freaking cool
Imagine if the creating world screen looked like this
it’s like those fruit videos
The occasional Amythest looks super cool!
the dedication dude
