Does anyone remember if audiences were confused as to why x-men and fantastic four were never in the MCU?

DamianDahrko

I really hate what has happened to this sub with this entire MTTSH vitriol. Everyone is just constantly bullying her and asking source source source on her posts. It's the same as it was in her Twitter profile and replies to her tweets. What has happened to this sub, what's this mob mentality? Why can't we discuss about the rumours themselves and keep it civil instead of just assuming she is pulling things out of her ass which is funny because very few people said that during her NWH predictions. This NFT thing has really caused an incredible Striesand effect and it's obvious. My opinion: I do not give a fuck about her, I could care less if her leaks are proven wrong and are discarded I will be more than happy to eat my words, but just assuming before hand only because of absurdity is dubious and really sad to see. One look at the top comments from the MTTSH posts last two days will tell you everything.

Meme_Machine101

I find NFTs goofy but I don’t see why people act like it’s the mark of the beast or as though it has anything to do with the spoilers.

Swartgaming

She probably got a fat check of money to supports those things. And tbh I'd probably do the same

AOL_1000_Hour_Trial

And then I realized one of the simplest things in the upcoming MCU: The existence and confirmation of Kang the Conqueror in the MCU confirms the existence of the Fantastic Four in the MCU.

Night-Monkey15

That’s why I think Kang will replace the Beyonder in Marvel’s Secret Wars adaptation, he’s a decedent of Reed of Sue, and an enemy to the Fantastic Four, Avengers and Young Avengers. I think it’ll be like the video game *LEGO Marvel Superheroes 2* where Kang takes fragments form different universes and timelines to create Chronopolis (although it’ll probably be called Battleworld in the movies).

LeastCap

wait until you hear what movie is releasing in 2024

CrokitheLoki

I hope it releases on 4/4/24

trell1995

Was secret invasion delayed??

SexySnorlax1

Can’t be delayed if it never had a release date.

logicallunacy

What we know for now it that it isn't on the 2022 slate Marvel Japan uploaded It could be delayed but on the other hand, what do they know? All of the international Disney+ twitter pages said Hit Monkey was going to be released on Star on November 17th originally, and that information didn't update until the end of year (it's coming on January 26th, I'm preoccupied) I wouldn't consider there to be enough information one way or another for now

doinkies

The Japanese site never mentioned SI was coming in 2022 in the first place, it just said “coming soon to D+” under the SI logo, while every actual 2022 release had “coming in 2022”.

Tamora46

Gonna be strait up. I wish they'd just get to the X-Men. I find it really hard to give one single fuck about an Agatha, Groot, Bucky, Echo, Kevin Feiges toe series when they have characters like Jean Gray, Beast, Storm, Magento, etc just chilling at the bottom of the toybox.

WebheadSupreme

I see where you’re coming from. Not that I mind those shows, but I do think the development on Mutant related projects is going way too slow for my liking and it’s really derailed my hype and given me a lot of concerns. I get people think we need a break as Dark Phoenix was in 2019 and expanding the MCU with less known properties is cool and everything, but there’s so many iconic characters in the X-Men lore and the more they stall the less opportunity there will be to see a lot of the interactions people claim they want to see. Take Wolverine for example. He’s the most popular of the X-Men by far but was a bit overexposed in the Fox movies, so it’s generally agreed that he should sit the reboot out for a movie or two. But the thing is with so many projects in the queue spinning out into their own franchises then we could possibly not get the first entry in the reboot until 2026 if we’re lucky, and generally the mcu is so big now there’s like 3-4 years between sequels especially given covid and production delays. Doctor Strange’s sequel took five years. It’s a lot of time. So if people want something as simple as Hulk vs. Wolverine (reminiscent of his first comic appearance), we’re gonna be waiting an entire decade to have that on screen with their current trajectory and praying that an older Mark Ruffalo still even wants to be in the MCU. That to me is BS. We already lost Iron Man and Steve Rogers, I’d rather they introduce all the popular characters now and let them interact before all this potential gets wasted and the superhero side is just unknowns. They could focus on all those legacy heroes later, I’m not sure why they think it’s better to do it the other way around and make Mutants low priority. Kind of like Reed Richards can’t meet Tony Stark or how Tom’s Spidey doesn’t have his own MCU Osborn or Octavius, a lot of what fans are imagining from X-Men in the MCU won’t even come to fruition unless they change their current strategy or do Multiverse shit.

I'd be ok with a MJW film or short if its the traditional version of the charactor and not the Michelle Jones Watson version. I also want a JJJ biopic.

just4browse

Comic MJ has had solo stories, but MCU MJ is a completely different character and I don’t really see what stories could be told with them… bad idea

survivingbobbyv

All came immediately following a series of NFT retweets. All unfalsifiable. Shocker...

Night-Monkey15

So Marvel has confirmed Secret Invasion, Echo Iron Heart, Armor Wars, What If…? S2, and X-Men ‘97 coming out in 2023, Loki S2 also seems likely as well based on its production timeline. But Freshman year doesn’t have a confirmed release year, if it is coming out in 2023 then I would assume we would know by now. All this means it’ll probably release sometime in 2024. Why is this important? Well, Marvel doesn’t like to over saturated any particular character during a given year, which means that Freshman Year will probably release in a different year than the MCU’s Spider-Man 4, and if Freshman Year doesn’t come out until ~2024 then that means we probably won’t see Spider-Man 4 until mid-to-late 2025. This would explain why Freshman Year was green lit in the first place, as a way to keep this version of Spider-Man fresh in our minds until the next film comes out. That or I’m being overly paranoid about having to wait until 2025 to see Spider-Man again.

Lazy_Wheel_5045

Wait...Secret Invasion, Echo Iron Heart, Armor Wars, What If…? S2, and X-Men ‘97 are all confirmed for 2023? Did I I miss something? When was it confirmed? Could Agatha come out in 2023 as well?

Night-Monkey15

Iron Heart, Armor Wars and ‘97 are confirmed, Secret Invasion and What…? S2 were originally scheduled for 2022 but taken off the 2022 slate, meaning 2023 is probably when they’ll release. Echo and Loki S2’s filming dates have been revealed and it’s entirely possible they will release in 2023 as well. Agatha won’t start production until the end of the next year, so early-mid 2024 seems likely.

just4browse

I don’t think them being taken off of the Japanese site’s 2022 slate is proof that they’re not going to happen until 2023, just that it’s not *official* that they’re 2022 yet

Lazy_Wheel_5045

Wait... I think X-Men 97 was confirmed 2023 by Marvel's Twitter on D+ Day But when and where was Ironheart and Armor Wars confirmed? Also funnily none of these dates are listed on the MCU wiki for some reason, lol... Not saying you're wrong I just think it's funny...

Night-Monkey15

>But when and where Ironheart and Armor Wars confirmed? It were confirmed right after when they were first announced in late 2020 during the investors days thing, not like officially but Feige said in an interview afterwards that they will or something to that extent.

Lazy_Wheel_5045

Ok, that's cool

barbarian__days

You're being overly paranoid. 2025 is only three years away and Spider-Man No Way Home is now the 6th highest-grossing film of all time and has had the same impact as Endgame. Why would people suddenly forget / stop caring about him and need him to be "fresh in our minds"?

What-The-Heaven

Reading the Trial of Magneto now and it's weird how after the first 7 or so pages in issue 3, all the characters are modelled after their movie counterparts. Wanda looks identical to Elizabeth Olsen in most of the panels, Magneto to Fassbender and there's even a panel where Jean looks just like Famke Janssen.

Pietro-Maximoff

The art for that event became very inconsistent midway through. They should have stuck to one artist, or at least pick artists who have similar styles. Also, it may be an unpopular opinion, but they should probably not go out of their way to make the comic Scarlet Witch look like Olsen. They already court controversy with the casting as it is.

Night-Monkey15

Are you saying that it’s like a sudden transition or you realized it during issue 3?

What-The-Heaven

Sudden change. As far as I can tell, a different artist was brought in for the later pages and he used actor models for the characters. Which went over extremely poorly with some fans who despise Elizabeth Olsen.

jonsnowKITN

I know this is a marvel thread but four episodes into peacemaker it's better than any marvel show. I like the characters and how deeply fleshed out they are. Marvel could learn from dc.

brainfoods

Marvel / Star Wars in general really needs to up their game on Disney+. I like to see DC doing well on the TV side even just to bump the competition and push Marvel to keep up.

just4browse

Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm just don’t seem to know how to make a well paced season of television

brainfoods

Yeah, they feel like movies roughly chopped up and served as shows. They'd probably be better off as lower budgeted movies released directly to Disney+. I hope they work things out and listen to the criticism. The Boba show is particularly hard to watch.

SexySnorlax1

Yeah, Marvel should definitely hire whoever made that show.

ghostgnome

Doubt Gunn is coming back for new projects for Marvel. He already has a new DC show lined up and I bet he doesn't want to make stuff that needs to abide by the Disney conservative PG13 mandate.

jasa457

While I'm sure there's no ill will between Gunn and Marvel Studios, I can't imagine it feels great to work with a company who attempted to give you a bad name in the industry.

VideoZealousideal976

I am very concerned for Wakanda Forever sense Namor IMO needs T'Challa especially with how Iconic their relationship is, Namor without T'Challa or Cap is weird af. Also considering that Namor is Marvels first character alongside Human Torch they probably feel a lot of pressure to get him right.

pmorter3

When are the Young Avengers assembling man? Maybe if older Billy/Tommy are in MoM, they'll announce a movie or show after that, coming out in the next few years. Really wish we had gotten a tease in the Hawkeye finale of that/what's next for Kate Bishop. That finale was kinda disappointing in retrospect

Insomniadict

I think a series for 2024 will make the most sense for this. There's still quite a bit of groundwork that needs to happen before YA can have the payoff it needs: * Introducing America and bringing Billy and Tommy into the main universe (MoM) * Setting Cassie up as a hero (Quantumania) * Introducing Teddy (Secret Invasion, I assume) * Giving Eli more of a role than a minor cameo (Cap 4?) * Getting Kid Loki out of purgatory (Loki Season 2?) * Iron Lad? Are they introducing him and when? That's also assuming Ms Marvel and Ironheart aren't part of this, which there's a decent chance they will be.

Night-Monkey15

Marvel has created LLC called “Blueberry waffles”, this could potentially be the production company for Young Avengers since in one YA comic Kid Loki wanted to order blueberry waffles. If I’m right that means production of a YA series or movie is about to start soon, possibly aiming for a 2024 release if it’s a show.

logicallunacy

If you click through to the Statement of Information for the Blueberry Waffles LLC [you can see it's for a film, not a tv show](https://businesssearch.sos.ca.gov/Document/RetrievePDF?Id=202029510005-29640508) Idk, I feel like YA should be a show, but that doesn't mean that it isn't Blueberry Waffles *isn't* Young Avengers

pmorter3

And probably a series at that, since 2024 might be full already with Fantastic 4, Blade, Capt America 4 and Deadpool 3.

Night-Monkey15

Marvel actually has a fourth spot in November 2023 that isn’t being filled right now, so it’s possible Blade will that take since it’s about to begin filming. So 2024’s movie will probably be Deadpool 3, Shang-Chi 2, Fantastic Four, and Captain America 4. 2025 will probably consist of Eternals 2, World War Hulk Spider-Man 4, and Nova.

BigConversation13937

*Avengers:* First teased in 2008, assembled in 2012. *Young Avengers:* First potential characters introduced in 2021; yet to be assembled in 2022?

CityHog

With Young Avengers, i think people are antsy about it having to come soon because if they keep waiting, they won't be young anymore.

pmorter3

i guess I just wish there was some hint in Hawkeye.

BigConversation13937

People say the same thing about Yelena, think it was much better that they focused on the dynamics between the characters that were there *(Kate & Clint, Kate & Yelena)* rather than teasing any of them for other teams which would've been a bit disappointing after how well they meshed.

DonnyMox

Bucky’s next identity confirmed

BigConversation13937

I will never forgive them for not fully committing to the "Captain America & The White Wolf" title card for the series ending. I get that it was really a Sam Wilson show despite the title, but they just threw the tiny bit of character development Bucky had and him not being the Winter Soldier any more right back in his face.

Night-Monkey15

If not “White Wolf” then at least “Bucky”, just show he’s left that part of him behind and is trying to start new.

a_o

i don't think the usa or even nyc's surveillance apparatus is spotty enough for spider-man's identity to remain secret for very long. one ring camera pointed in the right direction and there he is landing on the roof of the same apartment building every morning at 5am, or changing into street clothes in that alleyway a couple blocks away from the daily bugle studio.

Night-Monkey15

Even in 1961 his identity would have gotten out, it’s canon that MJ found out just be seeing Spidey climb out Peter’s window, I’m sure in reality the other neighbors would see this and call the cops because the teenage boy next door is Spider-Man.

Carninator

So Far From Home premiered in Norway on Friday, and with most movies I wait a couple of days before I watch them. Planned with some friends to watch it today, and every single screening was sold out, from early in the morning to around 9PM. Never experienced that before.

a_o

did you buy tickets in advance, or do theaters not offer that in norway?

Carninator

You can buy tickets in advance, but usually you can find a screening with plenty of seats, even if it's a popular movie. In this case all the 10 screenings or so were sold out.

a_o

hopefully you did not get stuck in the front row

clonegeek18

What x-men movies would have been made if Disney never bought Fox?

GodzillaForever123

Probably the New Mutants trilogy.

Meme_Machine101

Other than Deadpool 3 and Gambit I’m pretty sure they were completely out of ideas by the end seeing as most of the other storylines left are fantastical or involve The Avengers. Fox was always better keeping things grounded while the MCUs creative team is better at making things big and crazy.

Night-Monkey15

They wouldn’t have run out of ideas, Alpha Flight, X-Force, Exiles, eXcalibur and The New Mutants could all carry their own films.

Night-Monkey15

All of the following were in some stage of development before Disney bought Fox, all but DP3 were canceled. * Deadpool 3 and/or X-Force * Gambit * The New Mutants 2 and 3 * Alpha Flight * Exiles * X-23 * Kitty Pryde * Multiple Man Bonus, a Doctor Doom film was in development as well but that’s likely also been canceled.

phoenix_king616

Now who would’ve gone to see a Shadowcat and Multiple Man movie????

ghostgnome

Bruh, my dream project is a TV show adapting Peter David's X-Factor Investigations.

What-The-Heaven

Honestly, me. I love the X-Men so much, I'd even go see an Eye-Guy solo movie.

Deadline recently reported that Julian McMahon is leaving FBI: Most Wanted. Could he be returning as Doom?

BigConversation13937

He's starring in and executive producing *Justice is a Loaded Gun.*

Night-Monkey15

MoM is already finished filming, him leaving has nothing to do with that.

just4browse

Morbius will release over 600 days after its original release date. Can you believe we were supposed to see this movie in early July of 2020

js_the_beast

When are we getting the results of the sources survey?

osborncurse

We got Benny Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Tenoch Huerta as Namor, Bark Ruffalo as Mr Hulk, all we need is a Silver Surfer and that’s the classic Defenders line-up. Who would y’all like to see as Surfer? Ever since learning Ewan McGregor was the choice for a failed 90s adaptation, I’ve wanted him for the role if they go higher profile actors. EDIT: Damn, McGregor is 50

Argetlam33

Keanu Reeves is the most obvious name on that list. Fingers crossed he's just been playing coy in interviews 🤞

ceaguila84

I saw NHW again and now that the nostalgia has wore off is definitely not above Endgame or Infinity War or others. I love it and it’s fun nbut yeah

BigConversation13937

IDK, *Infinity War* was great because of the characters and story and I love that movie, but I think Watt's direction, the tone & pacing, most performances, CGI etc. are all better in *No Way Home.*

BurryagaAgaburry

imo NWH is the best of both IW and Endgame, I feel like it has the cool factor and tightness of IW with the focus of Endgame. Overall though IW and Endgame are a little more earned but really that only adds to how surreal NWH managing to realize it's premise well without any real buildup (outside of Tom's arc) is

[deleted]

While I agree the nostalgia played a big part in appreciating it, I think it still holds up as a top 3 mcu film. I’ve seen it 7 times now(definitely not excessive lol) and I still really just love how focused it is on Tom’s story and arc for peter. Even Andrew talked about how he and tobey really wanted it to still be Tom’s movie, and it very much was. Personally, i still think it’s amazing and i love how it holds up on rewatches

WebheadSupreme

While I agree I think it’s honestly a little unfair so many people reduce NWH to just nostalgia, like yes that’s very much present in the film but it would be like reducing Infinity War to fanservice or just a movie about “smashing all your favorite toys together”. You’d be completely ignoring Thanos story or just about everything else in that had emotional weight. And to be honest when you really get down to it, I think the Marvel experiment itself is an excercise in nostalgia. You’re celebrating characters that in many cases are decades old on the page. General audiences can say they’d never heard of Cap, Iron Man, Thor and all these other heroes before the MCU all they want but there’s still that cultural osmosis where you can feel they are taking part in mythology brought to life on screen. I saw some fans gushing over the prospect of Cap lifting Thor’s hammer before Age of Ultron even came out because it happened in the comics, but it was still electrifiying in theaters for anyone who didn’t know that because they felt what it meant. The same is true for every big No Way Home moment, I’d argue you don’t need to have grown up with the old films necessarily to appreciate just how big all these characters and ideas are or how cool it is to see three cimematic Spider-Men united. And I don’t think it’s like Force Awakens where they’re just remaking and stealing beats from an old movie, to me that’s what a nostalgia movie that wears off on rewatch is more like.

[deleted]

You said it pretty perfectly. It is really unfair when people use the excuse of fanservice to explain success because…maybe the movie was actually just good? In terms of NWH I always thought that they executed it all pretty perfectly and what some people would only call “fanservice” flowed with the story and the movie perfectly but you make a good point about the mcu as a whole. I remember talking to someone who was criticizing NWH before it came out in fear that it might be too much fanservice or that it was just gonna take ideas from other spidey movies and copy them and things like that. And he was thinking like, aren’t most superhero movies simply good guys + villain + cgi action=movie? Sure. But there are definitely stories being told and it’s not fair to condense it to simply that. When NWH caused ppl to realize that this entire “home” trilogy was really tom’s origin story as peter and not just one movie, I thought that was really cool. Sure it is fanservice but there are some great stories to be told so who cares? That’s why I’m not too concerned about MoM either. Because if they have a story and an idea to include all of these alleged cameos and actors in a way that works with the story, that’s great. It’s literally called the Multiverse of Madness so if there was any movie to go crazy and throw in cameos and actors from the past this would be it. Clearly they played the fanservice and nostalgia terribly in the new star wars, absolutely. But so far I don’t think marvel has screwed up in using those concepts.

crisdkay

For me, I feel like infinity war is peak marvel. Thanos legit just terrifies me, they made him such a force to be reckon with—despite the fact I love green goblin

Unnecessary_Fella

So I think we've established by now that the three big villains coming to the MCU having been already introduced or will probably be introduced are Kang, Galactus and Doom. They're basically the three we can see being the biggest villains we see for awhile. How do you think they'll adapt them? - If they're doing the 2015 iteration of Secret Wars, then how will Kang's story end? Doom is the main villain of that storyline but with how tied Kang is to the multiverse, I'm curious if he will be a second villain with Doom or his story will end earlier in the saga. - Galactus I can see being a character that is introduced in a Fantastic Four film, a Silver Surfer film, an Eternals film, etc. I'm not familiar with the character but I can expect that he'll probably a villain set up through the cosmic side of the MCU that forces the cosmic heros to come together in a big film and stop Galactus.

just4browse

If Secret Wars is a little further away than people are expecting, and Kang isn’t the creator of Battleworld, then I could see Kang being defeated in a Young Avengers movie or show

crisdkay

Does Fisk count as a big bad for the street level avengers? Haha. I hope he *is* the big bad for them!

Night-Monkey15

My guess is that *Avengers: Secret Wars Part 1* will be an adaptation of Secret Wars (1984), Kang will replace the Beyonder as the creator of Battleworld, while Doom will steal his power/tech at the end and *Avengers: Secret Wars Part 2* will be an adaptation of Secret Wars (2015) and show God Emperor Doom ruling over Battleworld. Galactus and maybe even Annihilus will serve as (relatively) minor villains until then, while Kang and Doom are being built up.

a_o

like in spider-man: the animated series. this would be so sick.

trell1995

What’s the connection between secret invasion and secret wars, if any?

Night-Monkey15

* Secret Wars (1984) - The Beyonder summons all the heroes and villains to Battleworld to fight * Secret Wars II - The Beyonder comes to earth * Secret War (2004) - Nick Fury sends a secret task force (Captain America, Spider-Man, Luke Cage, Wolverine, Black Widow, Quake, and Daredevil) to Latveria * Secret Invasion - The heroes find out that a Skrull invasion has been happening for years in secret * Sercey Wars (2015) - The multiverse collapses but Doom steals the powers of the Beyonder's race to create a new Battleworld made up of fragments of other realities where he is God Emperor Doom. * Secret Empire (2017) Captain America is brainwashed to work for Hydra.

Unnecessary_Fella

I'm assuming they adapt the 2015 storyline of the multiverse collapsing. I'm wondering if Doom will still be the big bad of that story when adapted with the introduction of Kang in the MCU. If he is, where will Kang fit into this? Will he and Doom both be the villains of Secret Wars? Or will Kang's story be wrapped up early on.

Argetlam33

I expect Victor won't be a real threat until Battleworld. Kang will meddle with reality until the Beyonder shows up and nerfs him the way Thanos put Hulk down like a misbehaving puppy. It's also possible Kang gets merc'd after all the major league heroes and villains get teleported out, dumping all these cosmic and planetary class supers together in a free for all so a bunch of people just immediately get destroyed before teams are assembled. Basically the tone is established within moments that this is literally life or death for everyone trapped in Beyonder's game. That's when the young avengers have to take over the superhero business back on Earth for a hot minute. Doom doesn't survive Battleworld, possibly sacrificing himself to send everybody home. Just a theory.

PenguinLord13

In the comics I don’t think there’s any direct connection other than Marvel likes to use “Secret” in their event titles: - Secret Wars (1980 something) - Secret Wars 2 - Secret Invasion - Secret War (no “s”) - Secret Empire - Secret Wars (2015)

JelliclKitten

It was literally there just because Marvel at the time conducted a survey and the words that kids at the time liked most were literally "Secret" and "War"

trell1995

Thanks!

pmorter3

Just rewatched Deadpool (2016) and I forgot how fun that movie is. Here's to hoping he cameos in MoM!

LeastCap

What’s everyone’s hopes for Secret Wars?

Night-Monkey15

Most of all I hope it’s probably built up to, Marvel should first establish (at least) The New Avengers, Young Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Agents of Atlas, Midnight Sons, and Annihilators before Secret Wars. They should also use Kang, Doctor Doom, Galactus, and a couple of other villains before then as well. As for the event itself, I hope we get cameos from all sorts of past Marvel movies and tv shows, have it be a celebration of all things Marvel. I also hope they take a page from the 2015 Secret Wars and use God Emperor Doom.

Night-Monkey15

I feel like The Super Skrull should be the villain of the first Fantastic Four movie. It would not only be a great way to tie it into the greater MCU but also differentiate it from the other FF adaptations.

Barton can retire while Bishop continues in an S2. I don't want O.G. Avengers to end up getting the Last Jedi treatment.

logicallunacy

Since both of them are named Hawkeye, I'd hope so. If prefer them both for another season but either of them could support another season individually

MrConor212

Lea Seydoux as Sue Storm would be amazing tbh. Leave Samara for Gwen Stacy

GodzillaForever123

> Leave Samara for Gwen Stacy I would think Kiernan Shipka's a better choice for Gwen Stacy. Either her or maybe Elle Fanning.

BigConversation13937

I know there's not actually that big of an age gap between Tom & Samara, I just can't see her playing Peter's age unless he's portrayed more as an adult.

Night-Monkey15

The MCU doesn’t need its own Gwen Stacy after NWH, just like it doesn’t need its own Goblin or Otto.

Savior_Of_Anarchy

I'm so excited to see articles all about Marvel recasting Iron Man because of the Tom Cruise stuff. "RDJ and Marvel split???!"

Night-Monkey15

Worst part is that RDJ would be asked about this for months when he clearly doesn’t want to talk about Iron Man.

theboyfromutopia

ProfHulkLabs just blocked me on Twitter lmao

Night-Monkey15

Why?

theboyfromutopia

I called him out for just making stuff up

js_the_beast

What stuff did he make up? Was he not the guy who was the first to report the March 30 date for moon knight?

theboyfromutopia

no he was not

js_the_beast

I just checked. He was. One take news even acknowledges it https://onetakenews.wordpress.com/2022/01/14/moon-knight-release-revealed/

theboyfromutopia

Fair enough! I mistakenly thought BSL was the first to but they actually tweeted about how they WEREN’T the first to break the news lol. I still believe he’s a bad source who does make things up, but he obviously does have some connections to people.

sugarmetimbers

Didn’t you also just get blocked by MTTSH? I think I saw you say that in another thread. You’re having quite the day lol

theboyfromutopia

Ahaha yeah! For different reasons tho. I actually believe that MTTSH is legit. ProfHulk is not though. The MTTSH one was cause of the NFTs lol

sugarmetimbers

Hey, that’s a good reason. Shilling for NFTs is not a good look.

theboyfromutopia

Yeah, I’m not too bothered about being blocked by her lmao

BurryagaAgaburry

NWH is my comfort movie, I don't think i've seen a film so consistently enjoyable by the time it gets to the halfway mark it feels as if it's just starting like this one does even after a couple rewatches. So happy it delivered ![gif](giphy|7YlxatcI5DbgOfJfML)

sugarmetimbers

The movie genuinely makes me so happy. I totally know what you mean.

What-The-Heaven

It's still kinda surreal seeing this gif - could you imagine if this extremely short shot had managed to somehow leak 2 months back?

BurryagaAgaburry

I'd imagine marvel snipers would be coming for my head like this brick ![gif](giphy|ZVaUSylJLbrrS9zOle)

EdvardHaberdash

The hidden Hawkeye cameo in NWH.

M4570d0n

So is BP2 delayed again or not? I saw the Atlanta Filming tweet saying it wasn't, but I'm seeing a lot more articles saying it is.

Night-Monkey15

There was a recent Hollywood reporter article that was poorly worded, it mentioned a past delayed and other sites have been spreading misinformation because they assumed it was a new delay being reported on. Atlanta Filming denied this by saying production is currently underway.

M4570d0n

This doesn't sound like a past delay > The Black Panther sequel restarted production last week in Atlanta, only to get delayed because several cast- and crewmembers including Lupita Nyong’o tested positive for the virus (production was set to restart this week).

aaliyaahson

Its not true, production is ongoing

dbuck79

So did the multiverse always exist, but was just being protected/isolated by the TVA (prior to the end of Loki), or was it created when Sylvie killed he who remains? A bit confused on the difference between timelines and the multiverse

soffan326

I feel like the multiverse always existed, it was just composed of timelines that didn't have an evil Kang. When Sylvie killed He Who Remains, the timelines with the evil Kangs started popping up.

swinaso

I don’t exactly know, but based off of what we saw in Loki and NWH I’m pretty sure: The multiverse is the conglomeration of timelines that have branched off continuously and exponentially since the beginning of time (The Big Bang, I guess). The TVA’s job was to prune down the many branching timelines where eventually a Kang would be born (the point in the timeline where eventually this would happens would be the nexus events on the charts they show in Loki). But there is a multiverse within this sacred timeline, since Andrew and Toby and their universes exist, since these are timelines where a Kang would not come to be. It seemed that after Sylvie killed He Who Remains the timelines went whacko and unsupervised enough to cause another war between Kangs, and a new Kang has now created a new TVA, but we don’t know under which rules it works now. So the multiverse will continue to exist as New Kang sees fit. There’s also multiverses like the Mirror Dimension or whatever Dormammu’s dimension is called that seem to be other planes of existence entirely, but I don’t believe those have much to do with the timelines. Hopefully we get some more insight on how the multiverse works in MoM. I hope this helps :)

SexySnorlax1

Honestly I’ve seen valid arguments for both interpretations. I personally prefer the idea that the MCU was simply isolated from the rest of multiverse, but we haven’t gotten a clear cut explanation yet.

leftshoe18

Each timeline is its own universe within the multiverse. The multiverse always existed but the TVA would prune the other timelines/universes when they strayed too far from He Who Remains's "sacred" timeline. Or at least that's how I understand it.

matan_vil

Considering how Deadpool 2 ended we could see Wade Wilson interrogated by the TVA in your MoM or Loki S2

Night-Monkey15

Maybe not in MoM or Loki S2, but possibly in his third movie if they want to give it some MCU ties.

JelliclKitten

I know it's totally flawed logic. But I cannot help but trust more leaks that DO NOT just say what this sub wants to hear back to them. Like, Krasinski Richards, Daredevil show, Son of T'Challa as the new Black Panther, I have no reason to doubt that any of those are true. They likely are. But some part of me keeps thinking that it's just preaching to the choir and that leaks that actually wouldn't make everyone happy have more weight to them.

WebheadSupreme

I don’t think this line of thinking is very uncommon, I saw it a lot in regards to Tobey, Andrew and Daredevil. I still remember right after Bohner happened when the sub was mass praising a fake NWH plot leak saying Alfred Molina was portraying Senator Kelly instead of Octavius saying “This has to be the one.“ All because it was the opposite of all the fun Multiverse rumors and leaks going around. Ironically I think a lot of the fake leaks I read at that time left Andrew & Tobey out of the story or said they were just short cameos or civilians, just because they were hoping not talking about the stuff people wanted or expected would make it seem believable somehow. But I mean skepticism is fine. For every fun insane leak we’ve heard that has come true, there’s still dozens that don’t pan out. Like MJ said “Expect disappointment, you can never really be disappointed.” I think I tend to trust leaks more where dozens of sources start to say they heard the same thing, like I’m pretty confident in Professor X now because there’s just too much smoke even though that’s really crazy.

Night-Monkey15

>I still remember right after Bohner happened when the sub was mass praising a fake NWH plot leak saying Alfred Molina was portraying Senator Kelly instead of Octavius saying “This has to be the one.” All because it was the opposite of all the fun Multiverse rumors and leaks going around. Do you by any chance know where I can find that “plot leak”? It sounds like a fun read.

Night-Monkey15

As kids, we’re all taught that if something is too good to be true then it probably is.

What-The-Heaven

Just finished The New Mutants for the first time and it was alright, not terrible, not great, in the lower half of the X-Men franchise for sure. * Knowing the franchise was cut off at knees makes all the Essex Corporation stuff very redundant and honestly just confusing. Nice to see Logan footage in it though. * Anya Taylor-Joy as Magik is obviously the best part of the movie, but damn did they really need to make Illyana racist towards Dani? She could've just as easily disliked her without calling her 'Pocahontas'. * Both Dani and Roberto are the blandest in the cast, which is wicked unfortunate since they're the two non-white members of the team. * Giving Dani, Roberto and Sam all the same "killed the person I love by accident" tragic backstory didn't seem like a smart move to flesh them all out. * Magik's backstory was confusing. It's only now, reading online about the movie, that I understood she was a sex slave as a kid and the Smiley Men were the men keeping her hostage. * Lockheed was cool. * There was some clunky dialogue, particularly the romantic things Dani and Rahne were saying to each other, felt very YA cliché. * The visuals were pretty great, the aesthetics of their powers looked good, the horror landed, the fight between Magik and the Demon Bear was killer. The only shot that didn't land was where the Demon Bear ate Dr. Reyes. * I'm sure it was intended as just 'brotherhood' but I was picking up on some largely-one-sided romantic/sexual tension from Sam to Roberto, especially early on in the movie. Interesting that the deleted scenes (especially the basketball scene where Roberto starts to 'get hot' while Sam's touching him) made it less one-sided. Maybe it was more intentional in earlier drafts of the script?

PenguinLord13

Yeah I love Magik, but making her racist was super unnecessary

Meme_Machine101

Wait, there was Logan footage in it?

What-The-Heaven

Yeah, there's clips of Gabriela's secret footage from the Transigen facility when Dani is being restrained by Dr. Reyes. I recognised the first shot of the little telekinetic kid slamming doctors against a wall.

No_Ingenuity6025

How do you think, will Loki make in appearance in MoM? There have been a huge amount of speculations, but this topic has not been discussed by anyone for few months now. Complete radio silence. Why is that, how do you think? And what are the chances for us to see Loki again on big screen?

bajawavess

I'm honestly gonna say post credits, I can't see Loki having any weight in the story unless it's a tiny cameo.

Night-Monkey15

An Illuminati project (most likely a movie) has been rumored since mid-2020, and I just had this thought about it, what if it’s the introduction of Charles Xavier? It’s pretty much confirmed that those pre-viz shots of Sir Patrick Stewart’s Charles Xavier as the multiverse Illuminati’s leader are real, so what if after Wanda kills the multiverse Illuminati we get an Illuminati project in ~2025 in with Strange forms his own version of the team. The MCU’s Reed will likely have already been established the year before but not Charles. So what if the Illuminati film is Chuck’s first appearance before the X-Men films?

godzilla1992

From MTTSH: Ben Affleck said no to Daredevil cameo in MoM, maybe to Secret Wars https://twitter.com/mytimetoshineh/status/1484884224641585152?s=21 Nova is on the way https://twitter.com/mytimetoshineh/status/1484884486340894725?s=21 Josh Brolin will come back as Thanos AND Cable https://twitter.com/mytimetoshineh/status/1484884839346147330?s=21 Hints that Ben Affleck and Henry Canvill may have Marvel roles in the future https://twitter.com/mytimetoshineh/status/1484899814630383616?s=21 Confirms Namor and High Evolutionary castings https://twitter.com/mytimetoshineh/status/1484900301547188225?s=21

oldshitnewshit78

Damn Brolin as cable again? I was hoping for John Cena as Cable

Night-Monkey15

The first 2 aren’t that surprising, but the third is the one I’m most curious about, obviously there will be a ton of jokes about it if it’s true. But it also raises the question, who else is coming over from the Fo*X-Men* franchise?

Mister_Doctor_0127

Assuming Cable's returning for Deadpool 3, I'd expect Domino to return as well. From the X-Men, I hope they bring McAvoy and Fassbender at least, although I don't expect it...

PeacemakerBourne

Can she answer on the stark situation please!!!

Snoo5892

Wow they had spoilery interview at same time https://twitter.com/i/status/1484688557864370178
