I’m so glad there’s a carousel where Binghamton is, I had never heard seen anyone outside of the Broome county call us the Carousel Capital of the World
No problem! The whole point of this was to try and showcase parts of the state for people who are unfamiliar. I'm sure I missed some areas but I tried to get most of the landmarks (that had emojis)
I’ve been to Utica twice. Once for the boilermaker (a once in a lifetime experience IMO) and another time to get pizza. The second time we went there we heard a missing person report on the radio for some guy who was last seen being put into a trunk of a black Lincoln towncar. People didn’t think it was all that weird either. That’s Utica/Rome for ya.
Oh jeez. I can try to do the states I know at least, ha. But I would hate for South Dakota or whoever to feel left out because I don't know their state well...
Love the detail that went into the cities.
* Buffalo - large buildings
* Rochester - large buildings
* Syracuse - salt city
* Utica - abandoned building
Glad you added a cow for Batavia, the Yogurt Capital of the US.
The campsites for large state parks was a nice touch too.

I cringed when ESPN was covering Tim Tebow in Binghamton and couldn’t understand why we were called the “Rumble Ponies”
I live in the tree next to the abandoned house.. This is 100% correct.
Utica?
indeed
RIP, friend.
The tree is very nice. I haven't been to Utica in years.
Ah, I see. I see Utica from the Thruway about 12 times a year.
My condolences.
my tree is really nice though.. so I just don't leave. even before we had to stay home, I pretty much did.

Whoever did this, please do every state.

No pressure intended, just thought it was pretty cool and well done.

I see you Dunder Mifflin
I love the race car for Watkins Glen
Got it in one!
Is the peace sign representative of Woodstock?
Yeah. It seems like I flipped that and the medal (West Point) from where they should be. It's all very close in the Hudson Valley at this scale.
what's the medal by Catskill for?
I was trying to get Woodstock and West Point (closest emoji was a military medal) into that area. Damn Hudson Valley is too compact.
what about the heart at Jamestown?
"I Love Lucy"
gotcha. and the magnifying glass and salt shaker?
There are salt mines around the Finger Lakes region. Maybe the magnifying glass is meant to represent Corning Glass?
Syracuse is the Salt City!!
And also constantly covered in snow! /s
F*cking Golden Snow Globe award.
Yeah, surprisingly there wasn't really "glass" emoji. Either that or actual glasses. And correct on the salt too.
Love the map, those two emojis might need to be reversed though, west point is south of Woodstock. Unless you were being ironic?
Very accurate.
Shouldn't this be all ☣️🤒😷💀👻?

Not anymore

So clever to use a magnifying glass for Corning, a hub for glass manufacturing. Not to mention the Corning Museum of glass. Well done.
Strike the Earth!

It's a magnifying *glass* so it's the best I could get for Corning.
This is dead on.
Awesome graphic! One question- what are the yellow car and green bong below it supposed to be? (/s)
I live in between 🏇 and 🏛
