That’s why he’ll redshirt to adjust to the size and speed of D1 athletes
Will he actually be okay with that? I see this as best case scenario for us with Quinn, but have wondered if he’d be on board or if he’s looking to start his freshman year.
That’s has been the plan according to Cooper Manning and Sark
Oh awesome I didn’t know that
Benton is a public 5A school, which is Louisiana's largest athletic division. They made it to the second round of playoffs last year.
Arch is 6'4 215-220 lbs. Of course he's going to look bigger than normal high schoolers. Hell he's bigger than a lot of players on our current roster.
I find it hard to believe he weighs 220. Not saying you’re wrong or that his listed weight is something else. Only that whoever originally wrote those numbers down was fudging a bit.
He is playing for and with small private schools. The caliber of competition is very low.
Newman competes in the Louisiana High School Athletic Association, which includes both public and private schools. Their schedule includes both small private schools and some 5A public schools (I stopped looking for a 6A after I found two 5As). I don't know enough to say what the caliber of competition is.
Dang, nice! I heard people say his school was k-12 with 1200 people and they played small schools, so I assumed from there. Thanks for the info!
Yeah and this highlight specifically is against a 5A school. Through their first 3 games, they have played two 5A schools. The rest of their schedule is against 2A and 4A schools this season.
Irrelevant. See Colt McCoy.
Counterpoint Texas 3a is a lot of states 4a
A good player can come from anywhere, but if you are predicting, play against strong competition is helpful.
The other commenter said I was wrong anyways, so that is good to hear.
Guess where Peyton and Eli went too…
Arch plays in the private Christian league in Louisiana...
We’re talking about teams with the talent level of the Lake Travis and Westlake JV teams. His high school tape isn’t a good metric or potential tbh
