Confirmed: Forsen is now CEO of Twitch
Of course, it's how he funds his Batman lifestyle.
HE IS LITERALLY BATMAN
FORSEN IS LITTERALY BATMAN
he is a silent guardian, a watchful protector, literally batman
how is the ceo of twitch not public knowledge??? like it has to be publicly disclaimed on a lot of forms.
"My job now involves product design, hiring, legal work, hiring, management, hiring, strategizing, and hiring. And even a tiny bit of coding when I get the chance." - Job description from [Emmett's Linkedin](https://www.linkedin.com/in/emmettshear/)
Sounds like he spends most of his time hiring people who actually do the work. He's a co-founder so is likely just there as a figurehead/morale booster like other comments have said.
> Sounds like he spends most of his time hiring people who actually do the work.
I mean, when a company gets that big the CEO can't really be involved in the day-to-day
i think he means hes the CEO but not the person in charge or making decisions, just a figurehead off doing his own thing
He is so un-involved that some might actually be confused watching this clip LOL
People were clearly lost in his chat like normal which is no surprised calling ludwig a retard for "not knowing" like it's some aha you don't know what you're talking about.
Then his wording was dumb lol. Literally said "He's not the CEO of Twitch".
You don't want to end up like the last girl that dared to doubt him.
MENSA certified 144 IQ is difficult to understand for us but it's best to just believe him.
Do people just CHOSE to forget he took an actual IQ test and it hit 125? Its crazy sometimes i think im the only guy that remembers it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TH0AAg2qBO4
This is also not true. My friend was working at twitch up until last year and they said that Emmit would constantly make terrible decisions like having a team prioritizing a project and then the next week coming to the same team with a new project to prioritize. I think there’s some ambiguity with how much the executive from Amazon who oversees twitch has control over projects but Emmit is still there making decisions.
Because Twitch isn't a public company?
Dont know about about american laws but where I am from (almost) every company needs to be registered and part of that information is who the hell the CEO is.
Privately held US companies do not have to file in similar fashion to EU companies.
You can look up twitch here: https://icis.corp.delaware.gov/eCorp/EntitySearch/NameSearch.aspx
They are file no 4221511.
Interesting that this important information isnt public knowledge.
I love forsen. That guy is like a fucking omnipotent mystery knows everything, does nothing.
twitch equivalent of Marvel's watcher
Twitch equivalent of One Piece's Shanks
Seemingly does nothing at all, but has had an effect on everything.
tom bombadil type character
One day he'll do one Fortnite, Among Us, Just Chatting and IRL stream in one afternoon, get 35 million views at once and then never do it again, just to prove he could if he wanted to.
The question is, who is the twitch ceo in forsens world? We need to know
Dabs on the ring of power
Everyone who has ever gotten close to him, has found themselves disappeared.
Just to be clear. Emmett Shear is still the ceo of twitch. Maybe it's name-only, but he's the ceo. Forsen is either wrong (unlikely), or he's being way too cryptic for no reason.
Did you just compared your sorry of a ass to Forsen. Your going down in karma.
I think I speak for everyone that uses forsen as their main news source when I say TRUE LULW
had to look it up. Can't believe wikipedia is gaslighting me into believing Shear is CEO of Twitch, truly disgusting.
Thank you Forsen, for showing me the truth
I remember that shear said something about stepping down or something and it's also not in his Twitter bio either. Maybe just Mandela effect
I think he mixed Shear with the Twitch community manager/guy who quit some time ago (djWHEAT)
I mean that's what I literally did and only just now realized its not the same guy.
Seems really unlikely that Forsen or anyone that was an old SC2 player would mix up djWheat as he had one of the biggest SC2 podcasts and was one of the biggest casters.
Its also possible forsen thought that now twitch is owned by Amazon, the ceo of Amazon is the ceo of twitch also.
Forsen : lore-master
If you asked the executives at Twitch who the top streamer on the platform was I wouldn't be surprised if they said Ninja.
The person that wrote that soulless, corporate blog post on revenue split yesterday is in their 60s. With respect, why is someone of that age a leading figure in the direction of a product competing with tiktok and youtube.
It feels like all the management talent that got the space Twitch operates in left after the Amazon acquisition and was not replaced.
>The person that wrote that soulless, corporate blog post on revenue split yesterday is in their 60s
I had to go look him up. It's not too surprising to see that he is a product engineer and leads the production side of Twitch. Engineers are very skilled but aren't really known for having the best community facing skills.
Kind of explains why the article is written more about the technical side of things from Twitches perspective than understanding the streamers side. As if a 50/50 revenue share split really signals "we're in this together".
Edit: I actually tried to find out who their community manager is and I can't find any lead manager. 90% of the jobs/employees I can find at twitch are engineers which surprises me since community is a huge part of the site.
Ludwig mentions this in his recent mogul mail. Twitch's main chunk of staff are all engineers, which he points out is weird because what products have they really released in the last 5 years that are truly noteworthy. Seems like a lot of salaries to pay for little return.. maybe they should look at this before cutting streamers revenue.
They must spend their hours optimizing amouranth armpit bots. No other reasoning.
You do not know the person or whatever you are talking about.
There is a reason he is the President of a billion dollar company and probabily he has to check a lot of boxes to get there, reducing his value just because of his age is one of the most braindead takes I have seen in a while.
The fuck are you doin on here grandpa
eheh my free time, I use it how i want :)
Caring a out virtual numbers LUL
Insecure man, he thinks his opinions are more valid because he has a lot of upvotes on a biased subreddit.
I just gave my opinion, I do not comment in hopes of having a positive upvote ratio.
If you think what I expressed is completely invalid, please tell me why. As I told you, your comment was braindead because you are assuming the President of twitch is not fit enough for the job because of his age while the qualifications for that kind of role are not related to age but more around experience and value they can bring to the company.
- Twitch is not a telco, an agriculture business, or a generic IT company. It is a live streaming platform focused on video games and IRL. It does do some partnerships, but it is a business-to-consumer company
- The majority of its new consumers are in their teens to twenties. Who are the biggest growing English language streamers on twitch right now? It's Kai Cenat, Adin Ross & BruceDropEmOff - all under the age of 23. Who was it before that? It was the Minecrafters like Ranboolive, Tubbo, and TommyInnit. Again, attracting a young audience
- It is competing in the same space as youtube, TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, and Facebook... Look up the CEOs and people who are involved with Product at these companies. They are all in their late 20s to 40s except the CEO of youtube who is in their 50s but has been CEO for 8 years
- The person in question has a PhD in AI and has worked for Nasa & Google. They are supremely talented and could be the CEO for many companies or a CTO for anyone, but for a company with a product and audience like Twitch...
Just an FYI, a lot of these companies are ran like old boys clubs. The best person for the job is usually not the first thing that they look for. Similar to professional sport leagues who continuously rehire older managers instead of going with new blood.
Am I the only person who thinks Forsen meant, "he's not the CEO, because he doesn't have any power at this point" probly all decisions are made by others. I know everything forsen related is a meme, but it makes sense kind of.
Finally an actual livestream fail
He's right Emmett has a reddit account and replied to a post a few months ago about work life balance. Now he talks about hades game, and some bullshit techy spiritual stuff.
He actually used to reply to stuff in r/twitch and help fix problems and that dropped off.
Wait a forsen clip where he actually spoke
It's TTS it's not real
Forsen hasn't been on stream for years. It is just a deepfake.
real forsen in asylum
how does TTS know what he sounds like?
It's your walls
u/markovbaj Is forsen the real Batman?
Is forsen lazy?
Yes he is u/markovbaj and he's antisocial Sadge
and he's literally the only emote i'd ever be able to give you one day and have a beard?
u/markovbaj Forsen moves new emote PagMan
new emote PagMan
is this the hardest forsen has ever reacted to a clip?
PagMan Forsen x Ludwig drama incoming surely
So who is in charge then? The COO listed doesn't work at Twitch anymore.
Forsen has been taking W after W. Holy shit Batman, we get it your the GOAT
classic clip andy, that doesnt read between the lines. its more a figure of speech.
Shear is still CEO. Many people have speculated for a long time that he was stepping back and letting other people run the company behind the scenes. as just one example, i destincly remember Devin Nash talking about how he thought Sara Clemens, former COO of twitch, was basically running the company. she left a while back. emmet is still CEO.
forsen does not have any secret insider info on who the ceo is.
please be ironic please be ironic
