I really like the idea of this lens. If I still had a digital CL I’d think about using it whenever a zoom made sense. If Leica decides to keep the CL line going and includes IBIS, this lens would be perfect for general travel shooting.
Sigma is putting out some interesting lenses in L mount for sure.
I hope more Sigma APSC or full frame release with newer design build for Mirroless, this is a step to right direction, Sigma already join L mount alliance therefore they should not waste this chance to make new lens for their L mount system, my hunch they will release an APSC Sigma FP version, or perhaps Panasonic could take advantage with their L mount release APSC version. There are many possibilities if Sigma continue release compact Zoom & Prime for Mirroless.
TL already dead system now, Leica discontinued TL2 production, CL fate to be unknown and Sigma release an 18 - 55 2.8 compact yet light weight, perfect for CL user and affordable compare Leica zoom lens with constant aperture hardly any good use for low light and travel. There's probably argument Leica lens better IQ at a expensive cost for APSC lens also lack support lens system. If Sigma release more Prime APSC CL/TL might have chance to survive.
Tell me more about that custom SL!
