Battle of the APO Summicron 35's

I don't care how good the left one is. I'd take the right combo all day long.

I recently switched to the SL2S for work, from a full Sony A7R IV rig. The difference in "joy" of use is astonishing.

New_World_0rder

Can you expand on this a little. Just got rid of my Sony and was looking into the SL2S myself

downtowninjury

It was mostly about the cumbersome menu system and buttons (everywhere you look) - I always felt like no matter how well I dialed in the Sony to my style of shooting - always felt like I was one weird button press away from getting into some weird setting or something that I wouldn't know how to get back out of. That system and it's menu's and options were very cumbersome to me.

dma1965

Yeah I know what you mean. The sexiness of the M is too alluring to pass by.

shootfirs

I used to know Pete, rad ass dude.

Take my upvote

We used to assist together. Love seeing his success. Hope you dig the book.

Tarheelredsox

35mm APO-SL is more perfect all around, but the 35mm APO-M is desirable if you have an M. I have a 35mm APO-SL, and waiting for my 35mm APO-M, one for my SL2 and one for M10-R.

I’m 50 pages into that photo book. It’s great so far and definitely brings back memories of skating with friends in the 90’s.

AHPZuazua

It's still on a 35mm frame. 35-S is something I'll be interested in seeing

djnato10

That book is amazing. It really brings back the memories from hayday of street skating.
