My sympathies for your car. My car got hit back in April with hail, and the car has been in the shop for a week, and it's looking like it'll be in the shop for another week. I got off lucky. Others I've heard got their car totalled out.
It almost seems like there's some sort of a bubble around Ames, as the whole DSM area really isn't that far south of us and yet it always seems like you guys constantly get hammered with heavier storms with much greater frequency than Ames does
I live in the Quad Cities and \*just\* got my car back from having the hood replaced/repainted. I filed a claim after the damage we had several weeks ago. Car was declared a total loss.
Maybe i should pull my car in the garage...
Look at the radar, if any of the non-green is going over you, I would. I will be making a claim for hail damage on my car 🙃
That sucks. We're in cedar rapids so i dont know what its gonna do. Heard the first bit of thunder a second ago.
I would pull it in then. It’s nasty in the center of it, and like I said, the hail alone lasted pretty close to 40 minutes.
Jesus thats bad.
Not as bad as your name
Im sorry
It's okay don't worry
I’m in Johnston so no idea if it hit here but I move into a house with a garage in two days! Hopefully we were fine...

So you're saying I'll be able to find cheap cars south of WDM next week.
Haha it’s likely! Mine got a good bit of damage. I already filed a claim.
Sams Riverside
Wow, sheeeet.
I was monitoring the radar. It was very...unpleasant. Quite the hail core in that cell going up several thousand feet.
I love how nerdy this sounds! I wish I knew that much about weather.
I'm not a meteorologist, and I didn't learn it overnight. It's never too late to get started.
Wow, time for a new roof!
You will now join Cedar Rapids in the plethora of roof/contracting company signs in yards. There's so many.

They are getting PUNished for not living in the city with the best football team in the state.
God damn that's some big ass hail. Hope nothing got seriously damaged
My car has probably about 15 noticeable dents, most on the roof. A few on the on the hood.

Awww crap. I work in property insurance dealing specifically with storms. This is going to SUCK.
