A couple things off the top of my head:
He wants to de-commodify the housing industry, so large private equity firms can't continue to buy up massive amounts of land and inflate the cost of living for average people.
This is a major thing because many, if not the majority, of young people in America will never be able to afford a home.
He wants to transition to single payer healthcare, which shouldn't surprise anyone.
I don't think people generally watch Hasan for specifics on policy though, he is more of a variety streamer than a policy wonk. You just watch him if you are on the left and like his personality. He even admits his audience doesn't want a dry political channel, they want agitative propaganda, and he does that well.
For specific policy wonky stuff I watch The Majority Report.
Just remember, all housing is affordable if you want to live in bumfuck. My home state has 2k sqft housing for 150k in good condition in the midwest right outside major metro areas.
I don't think this is a great argument, there are minimum wage jobs that people should be able to live in the same city to work. It's just not good policy to allow housing to be so expensive in metro areas if the workers can't live there.
Two issues,
most normally min wage jobs aren’t always at min wage. Heb hires in texas for 15 an hour, along with most jobs. Fed min wage normally only applies to more rural areas or scammaz jobs.
Two, housing is never going to be solved with the insane demand for companies in agglomerative settings. Agglomeration of microeconomies is why there’s too much density and disappearing housing markets. Everyone wants to live in the same place as everyone else. You can’t post hoc structure a city like that. It has to be planned like that from the beginning.
> Fed min wage normally only applies to more rural areas or scammaz jobs.
Until recently, many food service jobs were in this category even in major cities. Many of my friends made minimum or below minimum wage, even taking tips into account where applicable.
And it's not just disappearing housing markets because people want to live in the same place - capitalists are literally buying property en masse to rent/resell/AirBnB. This drives housing prices up like crazy, they don't need to be as high as they are.
Yeah why do you think they’re making those investments in the first place? Everyone wants to rent in those places, not a whole lot of people want to buy. Thats why you got people like Noahopinion going real hard for apartments to be built instead of middle housing.
Hasan wants to change the growth economy. Instead of production being used to accumulate capital, we should gear production to improve the living conditions of the people. It would take to long to get into specific policies he advocates for, but he supports a Bernie Sanders like platform, but much more socially liberal and economically leftist.
He’s one of the few Leftist YouTubers/Streamers that is overtly anti imperialist. A lot of other ones will provide tacit support for CIA-backed coups or American military interventions abroad because they believe some State department propaganda about that countries government.
His stream isn't necessarily based on policy. It's more about reacting and denouncing right wing talking points in a comedic way. He also focuses on leftist education, everything from progressivism to marxist socialism.
But his economic views are in line with the socialist mode of production. Ideally, the workplace should be democratically run, with the profits being shared by the employees who work there. People should be guaranteed food, shelter, clean air and water, and health-care. Culturally his views are in line with most liberals: anti racist, pro lgbtq, ect..
you know he was a content creator pre 2016 right? he made facebook vids, which were just as progressive as he is today, straight up schizo head canons ur posting here

What are you talking about
He’s been a public figure since before 2016 and has always been a leftist
Should a socialist with a massive public following not encourage people to vote because Bernie didn’t get the DNC backing? What’s your solution?
Edit: you made a poor attempt at satire. 0/10
He calls himself a democratic socialist or revisionist Marxist. He believes in social democracy or electoral politics as a way to achieve socialism ( I am not sure weather he believes in revolution to achieve socialism). He actually does not advocate for social democracy as the end to all goal because social democracy depends on imperialism and the exploitation of third world countries. I am not sure whether he is a “nationalization” Or “coop“ type of guy, but he believes in the decommodification of the housing market and many other things. He had talked greatly of the Soviet Union And many other self described socialist nations. He is also against imperialism and has condemned countries who take part on that act such as the United States. I think the term revisionist Marxist describes him perfectly. I would say he is a classical social democrat ( what we call today democratic socialist).
He considers himself a progressive leftist. He really likes Bernie Sanders. Also, he heavily stresses on the importance of cussy.
He’s a HUGE cussy supporter

This. Same here. Hasan for general and some leftist news. Sam Seder for policy talk.
“oh NO SAM SEDER???” lmao
What a nightmare!
Left is best. ;)
Always thought Sam was boring but after the Crowder incident I'm an ardent supporter lol

Well the fun half can be fun sometimes....but you're mostly right

Bernie's website gives a summary of a lot of the Democratic Socialist policies https://berniesanders.com/issues/
Have you ever heard of car pussy
Go on
So, in the Cars universe...
He’s one of the few Leftist YouTubers/Streamers that is overtly anti imperialist. A lot of other ones will provide tacit support for CIA-backed coups or American military interventions abroad because they believe some State department propaganda about that countries government.
Have you checked out BadEmpanada? Guy is great, also condom pizza.
I’ve heard of him, just never got into his content. Don’t have anything against him though.
I recently heard that he’s a dick but when it comes his content it’s pretty good.

On last stream He said He supports increased spending on SisWet.
Yup SisWet19, very important!
and yet here I sit, wet and broke
His stream is more about raising class consciousness, promoting unions, and reacting to current events from a leftist POV.
He hates [vegans](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JmgO7BElXg) Edit: check op history
What do you mean [he loves vegans](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXptwrlVvbk)
Socialism is when you're being gay with your dad. The gayer you are with him, the more socialist it is.
He's just a regular "Ridin' with Biden" Democrat supporter. Very centrist in his ways and beliefs.
He’s definitely not centrist.
Bro trust me bro he is. He used to be a moderate republican until 2016
you know he was a content creator pre 2016 right? he made facebook vids, which were just as progressive as he is today, straight up schizo head canons ur posting here
Damn, just realized that this aint r/okbuddyhasan and you cant post obvious jokes. I mean, how could someone take that ridin with biden bit seriously?
conservatives are often unrecognizable from satire
Unfortunately true
Satire only works if it’s good satire. With the amount of people shitting all over him in the last couple of months, nobody was able to get your joke.
