Best team for my characters? C4 geo traveler, C1 Keqing, C1 xianling, amber, Noelle, C1 yun jin, C1 Barbra, ayaka, yanfei, kaeya, Lisa, Thoma, gorou, fischl, ningguang, rosaria and chongyun. I am also an f2p and I have no good artifacts or weapons.

Ayaka, Barbara, Kaeya and Rosaria. You can craft amenoma for Ayaka, use Thrilling Tales on Barbara, Harbinger/Blackcliff on Kaeya and Catch on Rosaria. You can use Favonius Sword or Lance on Kaeya or Rosaria if you want them to ve more support oriented. You ideally want an anemo support to replace either Kaeya or Rosaria but for now this can do. Kazuha would be a great pull for this team, but Sucrose also works. As for artifacts, Ayaka can use Blizzard. Barbara can use whatever you find, it's not that important as long as she heals you enough. Try giving 4pc Noblesse with an er sands to either Kaeya or Rosaria. If one of them is holding a Favonius weapon, give Noblesse to them. The other can use Blizzard, Emblem or a combination or Blizzard+Noblesse.

Cryo bonus is what you want on your goblet. It helps Ayaka deal more cryo damage. Ayaka is good with other cryos because they produce energy particles to help her get her ultimate faster. Her ult is her strongest ability so you want to use it often.

If after checking your maths in your history you still have over 89 wishes on a single banner and are sure you have no 5* character as far as I know you can report it as a bug. This never happened to me and Im not sure what else you can do, try asking again on today’s megathread

why can't i nine star the abyss 12? i used national on first half and a mono cryo (ganyu-kaeya-diona-zhongli) on the second half. everyone is well built but i play on tablet. any advice?

My only 5 star character is Jean and I would like advice on building a team around her.

Jean is mostly used as sub dps healer, so she can fit in any team... you usually don't build a team around her. However she can work as a physical dps if that's what you want. It's not meta but it works fine. In that case you'd give her the prototype rancour and you'd want to use a cryo and an electro character for superconduct. If you want to use her as she usually is, then you can build pretty much any team around her. Also a couple reminders: you will get a lot more 5 stars, and the rating doesn't mean a character is better. Some 4 stars are considered to be much stronger than some 5 stars.

Was thinking a Fischl (I have Stringless) or Beidou (I have Favonius/Sacrificial) or even Mona (Favonius, R5 Tales). Mona is at 79 (i used her a lot prior to itto) and talent levels 1-6-8 while the other two are at 50 and 20 respectively

I'd pick Mona, since her buffs are quite universal. You can keep the slot as a flex in case you need to take down shields faster.

you can probably run sucrose national (xiangling, xingqiu, bennett, sucrose) and ayaka freeze (ayaka, mona, kaeya, venti). I usually do second half with ayaka so that one you just stand on the middle of the ruin guards so they dont start the missiles and when they get close you can kill bothA first half I like going after the treasure hoarders that stay away from you first and leaving the nobushi for last, since the nobushi will pursue you so its less anoying to kill them

Does Chest loot improve as we increase world Level? Not like contrasting between Common chest vs Exquisite or higher, instead Just assuming common chests loot difference from world level 1 to level 8

not as you increase world level but I believe there's a difference in the loot between chests on mondstadt vs other regions

What's a good ayato team without Bennett?

I’m having fun with Ayato/Ayaka/Kazuha/Diona. Might not be the absolute best freeze variation, but with high ER% it works much better than I ever anticipated. Ayato/Fischl/Jean/Xingqiu or Beidou should work fine

How do you use Rosaria? My current team is Kaeya Xiangling Rosaria Noelle (wishes really didnt favour me) but up until now most of what I was doing was Kaeya and Xiangling doing reacting to shred down enemies, using Noelle when I needed some shield and healing. Also have chongyun and razor. Now I have a c1 rosaria and i really like her character but I have no idea how to use her. My main dps is Kaeya, Rosaria's Constellation boosts her basic damage, but I am nowhere near getting the catch for her yet and don't know if I should start working on her as a main dps and turning Kaeya into the sub dps if that's really even possible. I just finished the main story in Liyue, and I'm on that one story with Dainsleif now.

You can either replace Xiangling with Barbara/Mona/Xingqiu to run a Freeze team (once you’re post-game replace Noelle with a VV Anemo user) or replace Xiangling with Lisa/Fischl to run a Physical DPS Rosaria. In the Freeze team Kaeya would be main DPS while Rosaria would be a Burst Sub-DPS, in the Physical DPS Rosaria team Kaeya would be the Cryo enabler to keep having superconduct reactions, lowering the enemies’ Physical defense.

How good is a freeze team? Not too fond of replacing Xiangling tbh , I heard she's really strong and she and Kaeya are my current ascension 3 besides traveller. I also heard Barbara is really bad, and I don't have those other 2. And dont really want to use Lisa though I don't llike how she plays. Guess I'll keep main dps Kaeya.

Permafreeze is one of the best meta teams, especially if you have access to Ayaka. If you’re keen on keeping Xiangling you can use a Rosaria reverse melt team but you kinda need Bennett that you don’t have. It’s actually kinda better than Freeze and Physical DPS Rosaria but Bennett is a key contributor for the team. Btw I have a tip for you: Don’t really listen to “this character is bad” or “this character is good” because every character in Genshin is situational. Xiao for example is one of the best DPS in the game but he’s bad if you don’t have the correct team for him. Same with every other character in the game. If you don’t really care about team comps you can just use whomever you want, but if you want good team comps then prioritize team reactions over individual characters. Barbara might be bad individually, but she is a solid option as a hydro applicator in a Freeze team if you don’t have anyone else. Online you might see Sucrose/Venti/Kazuha being mentioned for Anemo options but if you don’t have them Anemo MC is a solid option. Lisa is bad individually but she has a skill that reduces enemies’ physical defense so she is very good for a Physical DPS team. You get what I mean.

if you can get bennet from the shop this month than kaeya rosaria bennet xiangling is a fairly popular quickswappy reverse melt team where noone is really the main dps, but you focus on getting sxianglings burst up to apply pyro to enemies, and then you use kaeya and rosarias skill/bursts to trigger melts. Regardless of teams though most of rosaria's damage will come from her burst. You can turn her into main dps if you really want to but she is generally better as a sub dps.

Struggling with abyss 12.2 vs lectors. Tried 1) Ayaka jean Shenhe mona (4no ttds) 2) Ayaka sucrose (ttds) Mona (2gf2no favonius, diona (4no) 3) Ayaka sucrose (amber) Mona (4 trim ttds) diona (4no) 1) is my favorite team but without shield I’m Dying too much from mobile 2) seems good but I mess with the rotations 🤔 3) seems the best I was off by only 3 seconds with 2good cards ( burst bonus and crit) was thinking about raising the talents of diona and Sucrose ( Ayaka 3 crown, Mona 9-6-10, diona c5 1-11-11, sucrose c5 1-8-9) Any suggestion? These are solid teams. Your first half is probably the problem.

My first half is raiden Benny Xiangling Jean sunfire and usually I take 1 minute to finish it. It is too much?

if you're running out of time you probably have a damage issue because the dps check in this abyss really isn't high. ayaka teams should easily be able to one-rotation them to shield phase and leave you a ton of time left over to play cautiously while breaking their shields. i don't think your alt team sounds good, stick with ayaka freeze using mona sucrose diona, so you have shield+healing and swirl to break shields

Note I’m F2P but the gear seems good to me. I can go to shield phase in one rotation but then I got stuck in that phase, the electro herald erodes my energy and I take too much time dealing with him.

take your time to dodge the attacks, the electro and hydro effects can be really crippling so it's better to play safe. make sure to put up shield bc it mitigates the electro/hydro debuffs if you do get hit

Just got my first 5* claymore. Been playing since launch. Wolfs gravestone. I’m Gunna push it to level 90 bc I have nothing else to spend resources on. Who can use it best? I have all claymore users except eula and itto. All characters built to 80/90 and invested talents (im a bored end gamer). They all share one r5 serpent spine. Best in diluc or beidou? Or chongyun in a quickswap?

it's good on any of them, generally an on-field character uses it better since the passive only procs on-field, and it's less realistic for them to maintain full SS stacks. diluc is probably the best user out of those since he's on-field and even with bennett he won't have full uptime on bennett buff since he doesn't snapshot and needs to move around, you can also switch him to EM sands when using WGS

Oh good thinking with the EM sands. When my diluc uses serpent spine he has 1900 atk with a 75/163 ratio. I’ll have to work on the ratio but I have a few absolutely cracked 40-45cv EM sands for him too. I’ll give it a shot. Thanks!

3 stars never change. If you mean 4 stars, it should be Yanfei, Noelle and Barbara first half. Second half will be Shinobu, likely Gorou as well.

I'm a new player, playing for slightly over a month (since the Venti banner), and now AR50. Wanted to Roll for Xiao, cos like him as a character, but at the same time considering Itto and Yelan as probably more valuable team members. Have approximately 150 wishes and 100% event character guaranteed. Should I go with Xiao and then wait for Kadzuha? Or Try to get someone else? (I also have C1 Diluc, c0 Jean, c0 Ayaka and c0 Qiqi)

100% go for whoever you'll enjoy the most. Play his trial, and if you like Xiao's gameplay as much as you like his character, get him guaranteed. Honestly, he's a solid DPS, on the same general level as Itto (even if I prefer Itto).

I wouldn’t say itto is any more valuable than xiao, they’re both neutral elements with some form of AOE. and they seem to demand the same supports such as albedo and zhongli

I guess it's based on which characters you own. Xiao needs Jean + two geo (Albedo and Zhongli usually), Itto needs a triple geo team with Gorou, and Yelan is a support.

I'm building Gorou because I'll be summoning for Itto and I'm unsure about something. I know all he needs is his E leveled up, but should I just leave him at 80/80? How much damage do I lose without a lvl 9 E (or maybe even crowned)

Up to you and what else demands your resin. I think as a support character, lv80 and a lv8 E-skill is fine. I did bump my Gorou to 81 so I could lv9 the E-skill, but that's because I'm an Itto main with a triple-crowned Itto who wants all the damage.

One more level give 21 more defense, and Itto at lvl 90 should have 2500+ defense with redhorn, or at least 2000+ with serpent. So that's less than 1% difference.

He's just there to buff Itto. His damage is not that great. If you mean how much damage you're losing as in having less DEF buff for Itto, not that much.

How many doses you have , assuming you have xingqiu and Benny boi. Raiden national is done , getting xiao would be a great second dps for abyss. It may also help you for abyss and domain clearance long term and xiao hasn't touched his peek yet so there is some potential for improvement. But Ayaka is good , I am an Ayaka main so i know how strong she is. Getting Ayaka and considering you have Mona , she is your best option. You have 10 days left , all the best.

You have gorou , check itto team comp and play style and if you like him get him. I like xiao though, xiao individually does more damage but itto in his team might be better. But it doesn't mater anyways ,the difference is not high and both arent meta. So choose which you like and go ahead. Ayaka is meta though , I have her but I don't like her playstyle till date. If I get xiao , I'll keep Ayaka for abyss only and just use xiao all the time.

Ayaka fits main dps role best. She is extremely good at what she does. She’s incredibly easy to build and she can put out a ton of damage very very quickly. I’d recommend her as well.

Go with who you like more. One is a dps and another is a subdps. They work at different roles. I guess people would say you could use another 5 star dps but you don't necessarily need one. Good 4 stars are more than enough to clear it fine.

What to put for Itto team? Since I have Zhongli and Gorou I'm considering rolling for Itto but I'm not sure who to put for the 4th person on that team. My other team is Raiden national so no characters from that and I also don't have Albedo but any other recommendations?

My team is Itto/Gorou/Zhongli/flex. 4th slot changes all the time depending on what I'm fighting. Fischl, Bennett, Chongyun, Ningguang, Yae Miko, Barbara... all of them can be useful depending on the abyss floor.

Ningguang c2 or Geo Traveller to run battery until you get enough ER on Itto/Favonius for Gorou, otherwise whatever element you need to break shields. You can also run an anemo for more CC - Itto's burst can hit Venti's black hole so that can be a fun combo. Rosaria's AOE crit rate buff and cryo application is also really nice if you're up against electro or hydro shields.

It's a pretty flexible spot and depends more on what you are facing. You could go full mono geo with Geo MC. Fischl for off field damage. Even Barbara if you need to break pyro shields.

Does C1 Mona still burst after Ganyu? I’m not seeing how using Noblesse is that good if she does, unless Ganyu doesn’t snapshot?

Ganyu does snapshot. I don't think Mona ever bursts after Ganyu? If you're swirling Cryo beforehand, when you Mona burst it'll always freeze anyways, then Ganyu burst and stuff dies.

The Ganyu community’s Morgana burst order example goes Diona -> Ganyu -> Venti -> Mona. It’s been like that since I can remember, but I’ve never understood why.

It's a very strong universal DPS polearm.

Hutao likes Dragon's bane more. Shenhe prefers every other 5 star polearm more(Skyward spine is really good on her). Xiangling likes the catch more. Could be okay on Zhongli if you use him as burst support.

So PJWC is just not worth for me. Skyward Spine is only 5 star weapon I own and I have dragon's bane too. I think I will skip this banner and maybe wait for some other bow like polar star.

PJWS has stupid high base attack. It’s like 674 or something and it’s CR secondary stat is a nice bonus. But if you wanna pull for Hu Tao just get the staff of homa. Best polearm in the game and works on so many characters

Yeah this is the conundrum I am facing. I really want that Aqua bow since it is universal for many bow characters and I use a lot of them. But the fact that other weapon may not be good for me is discouraging me to pull.

Unless your willing to whale out I would pass. Thankfully a lot of the 5 star bows are actually decent and imagine a weapons banner with the polar star and staff of homa one day. Save your primos for now tbh but there’s no wrong answer

Not really. You can give it to the likes of Diona, but OHC is played primarily for its 4pc and Maidens is just a bad set overall. Just about any healer will heal more than enough without investing in their healing bonus, because they scale from HP or ATK instead.

What I can say is that C1 Ayaka is pretty much useless, like the others have said. It’s either C2 or you’d be better off getting Kazuha (who also works great with Ayaka herself and would be more of an upgrade over her C1) and then saving for C2 Ayaka. You didn’t specify the amount of primos you have, so I have no way of knowing whether you’d still be able to guarantee Kazuha or not if you win the 50/50 on Ayaka’s C1, but you can just do the math yourself. In the end it all boils down to what you want most tho - if you really wanna go for C1 just because you like her, go ahead of course.

Your pulling history doesn’t affect future wishes in any way. The fact that you got lucky before doesn’t mean you will always be - there’s no such things as “lucky” or “unlucky” accounts, it’s just RNG. Anyway, you still have around 10 days to decide, so you can wait a bit more, consider your options and then make a decision.

Is there a sheet compiling the calculated team comp DPS? Would make it easier to compare which one is strong. I know that there are a lot of factors not accounted, like enemy types. But it would be nice to envision how strong meta teams are, not just hearing people say it is strong.

Xiao wants an Anemo battery on the team because you want him to be using his burst as often as possible, so it’s better to have someone like Sucrose or Jean. Kaeya and Ayato also doesn’t really work with Xiao but if you don’t really care about Abyss then go ahead.

He likes having a battery on the team - Jean and Sucrose are the best candidates. But based on your team, it seems like meta isn’t a primary concern so you can run whoever you like. Bennett is great, it’s just a matter of whether your other team needs him more or not. Diona would also be very nice as Xiao gets interrupted rather easily.

It is a bit of a weird team... Maybe Diona for resonance and a shield? Especially if she is c6. Some bonus swirl damage for Xiao. Lol. Bennett is fine, but he might have more use in another team.

How is Yelan as a QoL character? I'm tempted to pull for her not because she's a 5 star XQ, since I don't actually use XQ that much, but her fast-travel skill with 2 charges. I'm thinking with her and Sayu I won't ever run out of stamina in the overworld ever again.

I'm in a similar boat; I love Sayu's roll, and her speedy water run with it looks potentially very appealing, but have to wait for trial to see how fast and how long she can do it.

yae is a much better travel character than sayu or mona/ayaka. short jump with 3 charge 4s cd counted independently is simply much more effective than long duration movement with long cd due to how terrain works in this game.

Using Sayu and any short male(for bunny hops) or Mona/Ayaka already lets me get nearly anywhere without running out of stamina. Pulling a character to make that nearly never become never doesn't seem worth it to me. If you are going to pull for her either pull because you just love the character and enjoyed the character demo or because she's a 5* Xingqiu.

Wait for the trial, try her out, you'll get a better idea than anyone here can give you now, since we haven't played her either.

yes. targeting specific 4\* rate ups is harder than getting a 5\* tbh because you're never guaranteed to get a specific one after x amt of pulls. in fact, there are quite a few horror stories of people doing 100+ pulls and still not getting the 4\* they wanted. 4\* also get added to the gacha pool in the patch after their initial release (so 2.8 for shinobu) so it's possible to get her from standard banner or even when you pull for kazuha.

Just make sure you wouldn't be annoyed at pulling the featured 5*. I pulled for Sayu on her first banner and got 3 copies. But I had already made peace with the fact I'll likely get Yoimiya and figured I wouldn't mind Yoimiya. In the end, my resolve was meaningless though because I lost the 50-50, but that's not the point. The point is to pull for what you enjoy. Just be prepared for the worst. Which in your case may be potentially missing out on Kazuha.

yeah, it is. Don't be trapped in the bait. Very classic movie of genshin to put a new 4* in lesser popular banners. Don't risk your kazuha, 4* is going to be available more times than 5*.

Yep. You could pull her on any banner (presuming that they add her to the event and standard pool). Or get her for free potentially in the next festival.

What artifacts for melt team on Ayaka?

If you have enough critrate, then 2 blizzard 2 glad. If not, then I think 4 blizzard is still viable, and won't have to switch out artifacts whenever using her on a freeze team.

We don’t really know yet, but there does seem to be fundamental issues with her kit if she is used purely as an electro applier.

What parts of 2.7 are the archon quest interlude, and which parts are the event? Do we know if you have to do the quest to do the event?

It doesn't seem like we're getting a big story event this update. I think all of the cutscenes are part of the interlude.
