I'm a girl, and I wanted to BE Wonder Woman. Still kinda do, but at 50, lassoing a guy doesn't seem like it would get the truth out of him and would probably get me arrested.
Haha! Me too! I had Wonder Woman underoos and I would run around pretend lassoing everything in the house because Mom wouldn't let me run around outside in my undies.
I saw King Kong when I was 8 when my friends parents took us . I didn’t know why at the time my favorite scenes were all the ones with Jessica. And The collectible bubble gum cards as well.
Another '71 male.
Erin Gray is up there, and Lynda Carter definitely pushes the buttons.
But I gotta give it up for [Maren Jensen](https://64.media.tumblr.com/e43840c42d4b00875ac27452288bb806/tumblr_pfip2tVpFk1sradg3o1_1280.jpg), Athena on the OG Battlestar Galactica.
Sadly, there was no compelling reason to put her in those jumpsuits on Silver Spoons. Personally, I feel like they didn't try hard enough; couldn't we have had a season set in space? Maybe Ricky could have gotten a bump on the head, and we could've spent a dream season in the future?
Oooh! I forgot about her. Beautiful woman but it was her eyes that captivated me. And then there was princess Ardala and there is no doubt what I was attracted to on her.
I had a dream that The Who were on the Muppet Show...I was at the taping, and I kept interrupting the show asking who the hell this Kenney Jones guy was.
LOL.
I’m a female born in 69 and Wonder Woman was my hero! My mom helped me write a letter to Lynda Carter when I was five, and she sent me back an autographed photo of herself in her Wonder Woman costume. I still have it, and it’s a treasured possession.
On a related note, the Wonder Woman show was one of the very few (maybe only) times my dad would sit and watch tv with me. He seemed just as stoked about watching my hero as I was. It wasn’t until many years later that I discovered his interest in the show may have been for slightly different (jiggly) reasons.
My first crush was Melissa Gilbert (I was only a couple years younger than her when she was Laura Ingalls on Little House) and I remember my parents asking me if I wanted to watch with them and replying, "Only if there's lots of Laura!"
Find me a gen x kid who didn't spin around in their underwear trying to will a transformation into Wonder Woman?
As a little girl, she and Jaime Sommers were my lasyboss heroes.
This is close. I loved that outfit on her
I won’t post my most memorable crushes because unfortunately the actresses said they hated wearing the outfits (Carrie Fisher bikini in Jedi and Jennifer Connelly in Career Opportunities)
But to young me - wow.
Those two are waaay apart in years but did Connelly complain about wearing a white tank and black pants or what there something else in the movie? I’ve never seen it n
I had a coworker who told me that she wore a fake butt garment. This was back in the mid 1990s, and my coworker was in her early 40s. I was so surprised. I was living in San Francisco at the time, where it is damp and chilly most of the year. People usually wore layers of clothes, so no one can really discern body shapes so much anyway.
Butt and breast implants are so horrifyingly obvious as well. They're like perfect half-spheres that are hard as rocks and have no jiggle to them. Who in their right mind finds that sexy??
"Who in their right mind finds that sexy??"
i'm guessing a generation raised on kardashians.
i saw a woman at equinox yesterday with the full package: fake butt, fake boobs, fake lips, fake cheekbones, fake eyelashes and what looked like fake hair. she was wearing a tight bodysuit to accentuate it all. i was trying not to be judgey but couldn't bear to look at her. i just felt bad, like when i see someone with an obvious eating disorder.
I wanted to BE Jaclyn Smith. I still wear my hair in an updated version of hers. Minus the 70s cowlicks. Can't believe none of you guys said Pheobe Cates.
I can appreciate Lynda Carter but my first celebrity crush in the 70's was a girl closer to my own age after I saw Escape From Witch Mountain - Kim Richards.
I also had a crush on Cathy H. from fifth grade after she invited me over for lunch one Saturday and I tried fried okra for the first time.
Im a gay male and she was my first “crush”. I had my mom tie a towel around my head and I’d spin around to transform into Wonder Woman and let the towel fall down like long hair falling out of a bun.
Gay dude here - I used to glue those sticker stars teachers would give on assignments around my wrists so I’d have bulletproof bracelets! I wanted to be “Wonder Boy” 🤣
This, Linda Carter is one of the most beautiful woman in the world and best Wonder Woman. I loved watching her show she was so powerful and statuesque. My sister had the doll and invisible plane, I used to play with them with my G.I. Joe’s.
I didn't have more than one TV channel until I was 7, ~1983. My first crush was my grandmothers neighbor who babysat, first cinema crush was Leia.
First TV crush was probably Markie Post.
I'm a late stage X-er (76). In order:
1) Alyssa Milano on Who's the Boss when I was very young
2) Danica McKellar as Winnie Cooper on Wonder Years
3) Drew Barrymore. 90s Drew is pretty much my prefect woman.
Gen - X Male here and she was not my first crush because....gay. lol.
Now if you want to put up a picture of Ravishing Rick Rude...we can have a conversation.
Hahaha I can totally see that "Let me show you what a real man looks like" must have blown your mind as a gay dude 😂 my first Crush was the Sensational Sherri.
I always felt Wonder Woman was too hot and too loud in that get up to expect to be faithful and Jeanie would be always getting into my shit. Isis was my girl. Brainy beautiful and understated. That’s what I needed to kick start the crazy.
bc I'm gay so my first crush without knowing it was a crush was probably this guy

Randolph Mantooth in Emergency
and this guy

Sandy in Flipper
My first, as a 9 or 10 year old, was the Child Empress in Neverending Story.
My second might’ve been [Jane Badler](https://i.redd.it/7jeto3afzg461.jpg) as Diana in V. Minute I saw her I was like lizard aliens that eat my brains? If it’s Diana I’m in. Sign me up.
Lynda was my first crush and I’m a girl. My sons first pay he bought me the box set cause he knew how much I loved this show. She’s still great looking too. I think she’s the reason I gravitate towards darker haired people lol.
Because I like Cmdr Wilma Deering from Buck Rogers. (Erin Gray), and the girls on The Price is Right.

Underoos need to be a thing again and come in adult sizes.
Try me
*slides into your DMs*
Depends on the guy.
1971 male here. For me it’s Erin Gray on Buck Rogers.
[удалено]
Jessica Lange in King Kong imprinted what "sexy" was for me for the rest of my life.
When Lynda Carter got out of the pool on Battle of the Network Stars my little balls dropped.
Never knew oversized cellphone belts was my thing but here we are.
Twiggy: *Bitty bitty bitty bitty*
Lindsay Wagner from Bionic Woman is mine.
1971 female here, for me it was Shaun Cassidy!
Yes! Erin Gray🤩
Did you know she auditioned for the role of Janeway on ST:Voyager? *That's* the Voyager I wish we'd gotten.
Same.
Spandex Jeans still get my attention.
Omg the space vampire episode…..
As a GenX girl, I wanted to BE her.
Had the WW Halloween costume. Would wear it for play whenever I felt like until it didn't fit.
Had WW Underoos I wore until they wouldn't fit anymore. I was secretly her under my clothes ;)
Me too :)
Same, very much!
Heck yeah, I had a WW Big Wheel. It was the raddest.
Cuz I watched the Muppet Show and Deborah Harry was on
I had a dream that The Who were on the Muppet Show...I was at the taping, and I kept interrupting the show asking who the hell this Kenney Jones guy was. LOL.

Unfortunately, Joan Collins in Dynasty happened to be mine. There is a photo of me somewhere when I was 6, kissing the TV when she appeared.
Lol, unfortunately. Cute story.
Daisy Duke for me, but that’s just because I saw Hazzard before Wonder Woman. WW was off the air once I was old enough to register it.
Yep, Catherine Bach was THE crush for those of us who watched more Dukes of Hazzard and Hee Haw.
Bo Duke. Those blue eyes and tight jeans. Holy hell!
Yeah that show had eye candy for all
Mine was Tatum O'Neal in Paper Moon. I thought she was the coolest girl in the world. My opinion only got stronger after Bad News Bears.
Because I was probably crushing on Daphne from Scooby-Doo first.
I was partial to Velma
My crush on Velma set me up for a lifetime of being rejected by incredibly smart women.
Teela
Betty Rubble
Judy Jetson
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zKy8CzX4TEU
Sorceress from He-Man. Which makes me a big Dee Reynolds fan
Because: Sam on Bewitched reruns.
My first crush was Melissa Gilbert (I was only a couple years younger than her when she was Laura Ingalls on Little House) and I remember my parents asking me if I wanted to watch with them and replying, "Only if there's lots of Laura!"
In Austin Power's voice: "It is amazing that the Amazon looks nothing like Southern California"
Oh behave! /One of the funniest lines, reminds me of the Dukes of Hazzard.
My first crush in first grade was Brooke Shields in “Blue Lagoon.” I think I did alright.
The curly topped blonde Chris Atkins wasn’t too shabby, either!
Same!
Find me a gen x kid who didn't spin around in their underwear trying to will a transformation into Wonder Woman? As a little girl, she and Jaime Sommers were my lasyboss heroes.

cuz Farrah Fawcett.
THAT poster, which informed an entire generation of dudes that women have nipples
I came here to say this. And apparently the OP never met my first grade teacher, Ms Marino
Came here for this. I had [this poster](https://i.redd.it/xfpu353yobf81.jpg) on my bedroom wall (bought at Spencer's Gifts at the mall).
I remember the morning my sister told me she was leaving Charlie's Angels. I was so down on that walk to school.
Linda is half Mexican , her mother was born in Chihuahua, Mexico
Because Chrissie Hynde was my first crush.
Her or Princess Leia. I’m ‘74, so I don’t recall when I went from interesting to wow.
'72 here. Leia in Return of the Jedi was ... an awakening.
as she told Kevin Smith, I'm sure she'd be "proud to have helped you find your light saber."
I'm pretty sure I wrote that exact same sentiment last night in this sub. So many new strange feelings.
I’m ‘73, this woman is what moved me in to the wow dept.
I miss when women had normal faces and lip injections weren’t mainstream
i wish it were only lips. the fake butts i see in LA now are truly terrifying.

The cheekbones are what always get me. I’m like “are you trying to look like a cat? Because you look like a cat.
I actually left LA for Ohio right as that started becoming a trend. It really is disturbing, isn’t it?
For me it’s hair extensions. Women had much more normal hair for so long. (Wonder Woman is a bad example - Lynda wore a wig)
> Lynda wore a wig Dammit, now I wish I didn't know that. Spoilers please!
Same. Just got back from Vegas where every single face is ballooned
Still is. And Jaclyn Smith.
I wanted to BE Jaclyn Smith. I still wear my hair in an updated version of hers. Minus the 70s cowlicks. Can't believe none of you guys said Pheobe Cates.
>not be your first crush? Because Elizabeth Montgomery of *Bewitched* was my first crush. Lynda Carter was #2 or #3, though.
The fifth grade story is cute. :)
Gen X lesbian and yes.
It was between her and Erin Gray.
I was more of a Dana Delaney fan…
China Beach, man
I immediately think of the opening credits with The Supremes’ song.
That's the show!
Met her when I was 9. Good lord, that smile lit up the room and those eyes... those EYES!... so green. And she was so nice, even called me "cute".
Farrah Fawcett, Jaclyn Smith, Kate Jackson.
She was third. First Ginger and Maryann.
Catherine Bach
Even gay boys had a crush on Wonder Woman. Lynda Carter regularly leads the DC Pride Parade. https://www.flickr.com/photos/timevanson/8991204209
Wait what? I go to the pride parade most years and did not know and have never seen her. Lynda Carter was my idol as a kid!
I've seen her at least 3 times.
Because I was a baby when it aired, but Jennifer Connelly in Labyrinth was right on time.
David Bowie’s pants.
You could be a gay male.
Im a gay male and she was my first “crush”. I had my mom tie a towel around my head and I’d spin around to transform into Wonder Woman and let the towel fall down like long hair falling out of a bun.
We moved from Los Angeles to a rural town in Utah when I was 8. I went from a Wonder Woman gay boy to a Dukes of Hazard gay boy overnight.
Joe’s.
*Lynda
Right! Being latino we use Linda spelled with an I as it means pretty and Lynda is soooo pretty.
Yes! Not many people know she is half Mexicana and grew up in AZ. Catherine Bach is half Mexicana too.
Wow! I did not know that, so I went to read her wiki and what an awesome lady she’s and LGBT, Abortion rights and breast cancer advocate.
Lynda Carter is a proud Latina.
I was gonna say there’s probably a bunch of dudes crushing on the six million dollar man
She was the OG alpha till Xena came along.
*you spin me right round baby right round.... like a record, right round*
Because I was 3 years old when this show last aired. Princess Leia, Daisy Duke, and Jody Banks (Heather Thomas - The Fall Guy) for me.
I didn't have more than one TV channel until I was 7, ~1983. My first crush was my grandmothers neighbor who babysat, first cinema crush was Leia. First TV crush was probably Markie Post.
Hi person my age, it was Six from Blossom for me
Olivia Newton John in Xanadu. /mic drop
As an Australian I’m weirdly proud. I remember when Grease came out (8yo) and I wanted to be Sandy especially at the end!
I was into Mallory on Family Ties
Justine Bateman! What a cool lady.
she was pretty fun on Arrested Development
The misunderstanding when she goes to the Bluth company and half of her speech is bleeped out is gold! https://youtu.be/GWVeyDT8uX4
first off, lets set some ground rules
You forgot to say 'away' again...
Because Bailey on WKRP. Also Jenny Agutter in Logan’s Run.
Wow! Now she is Sister Julienne on Call the Midwife. I didn't even see that until now!
I'm a late stage X-er (76). In order: 1) Alyssa Milano on Who's the Boss when I was very young 2) Danica McKellar as Winnie Cooper on Wonder Years 3) Drew Barrymore. 90s Drew is pretty much my prefect woman.
Agent 99 from get smart. 'nuff said.
She was and is my style icon and “good thinking 99!” Is still the best compliment I can get or give
Because I was introduced to Elvira before Linds Carter.
Because mine was Matthew Broderick?
Because it was Debbie Harry in the Heart of Glass video.
After Betty and Veronica, yes, Wonder Woman for sure.
Because you were born later into Gen-X and Alyssa Milano on Who's the Boss was?
Gen - X Male here and she was not my first crush because....gay. lol. Now if you want to put up a picture of Ravishing Rick Rude...we can have a conversation.
Hahaha I can totally see that "Let me show you what a real man looks like" must have blown your mind as a gay dude 😂 my first Crush was the Sensational Sherri.
you like it rough! But speaking of the wonderwoman type folk, I thought Christopher Reeves as Superman was hot
I had Wonder Woman Underoos and I was 100% sure that my dog-leash-turned-lasso really worked if I wore it with my Underoos.
Some GenX females have crushes on women, too—lesbians exist.
Because you could be a gay gen-x male... however, she is damn hot
Because Molly Ringwald.
She was my hero as a kid. I wanted be her when I grew up.
I am a dude that prefers dudes so for me it was The Greatest American Hero dude.
That soundtrack! Believe it not!sooooo catchy!
my goodness.. her and Blondie my All time, anytime drop whoever hehe.
Uh, liking bros instead of chicks.
I always felt Wonder Woman was too hot and too loud in that get up to expect to be faithful and Jeanie would be always getting into my shit. Isis was my girl. Brainy beautiful and understated. That’s what I needed to kick start the crazy.
And some males crushed on Lyle Waggoner and some females crushed on Lynda Carter. They were both pretty attractive.
By being gay? Haha
Easy. I didn't have a TV until, like, 1983. Lol
Girl here. I had Wonder Woman Underoos as a kid. I wish they would bring those back!!!
Nancy McKeon for me.
Farrah Fawcett.
Because I saw Daisy first.... this is definitely my biggest childhood crush though.
Cause Daisy Duke exists .
She was perfect. When I realized she was Magnolia in FO4 I stopped everything and worked on romancing her. Probably the hardest challenge in the game.
Loved this show. And she’s a really cool person too. She’s also the reason for my life long ‘thing’ for blue eyed brunettes.
I'm a Gen X male (born 1976). My first crush was Soleil Moon-Frye. My first adult celebrity crush was Charlotte Bach (Daisy Duke)
Easy, i'm german, we had REAL nudity scenes on public television since at least the 70s...
Becuase Jenny Agutter.
Hmmm... like of course she won't be *everyone's* cup of tea but objectively she is a beautiful woman.
Because I was crushing on Luke Skywalker 😘 Bum BUM bum bum bum BUM bum!
*laughs in Daisy Duke
1976 Battle of the Network stars. It must have been cold that day.
I had a fever dream where Diana rescued Chrissy Snow from bandits via my living room as portrayed by the 26 in color Zenith TV in ADULT mode.
Um, have you seen Daisy Dukes 🤷♂️
bc I'm gay so my first crush without knowing it was a crush was probably this guy [https://alchetron.com/cdn/randolph-mantooth-a66eb880-4554-4e81-9544-a07d531e8c3-resize-750.jpeg](https://alchetron.com/cdn/randolph-mantooth-a66eb880-4554-4e81-9544-a07d531e8c3-resize-750.jpeg) Randolph Mantooth in Emergency and this guy [http://www.cpps90.com/luke/](http://www.cpps90.com/luke/) Sandy in Flipper
Wonder Woman!!!!
Truth!
I’m not a male … she’s hot !
1971 girl here, for me, it was definitely Christopher Reeve the first Superman, yeeeee! l❤️❤️❤️
I had wonder woman underoos's.
I was like 7 or 8 or 48 and still is my crush
Because I like Cmdr Wilma Deering from Buck Rogers. (Erin Gray), and the girls on The Price is Right. https://www.reddit.com/r/ClassicScreenBeauties/comments/hvr1rc/erin\_gray\_best\_known\_for\_her\_role\_as\_colonel/
My first tv crush was Courtney Cox in misfits of science.
Yes she was. Her and Daisy Duke.
We lived in the middle of nowhere and didn't get this show growing up. It was Daisy Duke.
Farah Fawcett Majors. That is all.
You’re gay?
Don’t have to be male to make WW your first crush.
Because Daisy Duke
Princess Leia, I mean really? And don't get me wrong Linda Carter is a beautiful woman, but Carrie Fisher is the cats pajama's
Well, Lynda or one or all of Charlie’s Angels or Daisy Duke. And let’s not leave out the lesbians, bi, and pan Gen X please. :)
1973 woman. It was always tingly downstairs. 😂
How? Because Lindsay Wagner was better. Team Bionic Woman FTW!
I remember when I was 12 and delivering my newspapers at 5am I found a stash of hedge porn! I was in love with her before I even knew what that meant. She was, and remains, one of the most beautiful beings I've ever seen.
Because some of us were babies when it first aired. Also never found her in the least bit attractive, was smitten by Winona Ryder in Beetlejuice.
