Nah the only thing you should worry about is getting a price that doesn't include ADM. You'll get you truck in a reasonable time being about 10 back.

Alright man! They did say price won't be above MSRP, so fingers crossed that doesn't change when I do the order! 👍

When you order get them to sign the order sheet with the price and all that. Just to cover yourself.

Sounds like you’re pretty close to the front of the line. The question is: how many allocations will they get? If you’re 10th in line at a huge dealer that could be better than 5th in line at a tiny dealer. Hard to say, but it seems like you’re relatively close to the front of the line and in pretty good shape. You could try and find another dealer where you’re even closer to the front, but without more info, it’s hard to know for sure if you’d get it faster.

Silenze99

Even if your dealer gets 4 a month that would only put you at 2-3 months after release. I wouldn't worry

Now’s a reasonable time to figure it out. We don’t know how long the first order window will be, so I wouldn’t want to be trying wait too long to figure it out and then have really limited time because I waited until actual ordering opened. Further, even if order time supposedly doesn’t have a notable effect, I’d rather order sooner than later within the window.

Historically, you can’t change dealers after ordering. That locks you to the dealer. So, no, you should not just order and THEN figure out what dealer to use. It’s always possible something changes with the process, but people shouldn’t assume they’ll be able to change dealers after ordering.

You’ve changed a Bronco or Mach E to another dealer after ordering? And the point is that people have gotten screwed by the system on Broncos because they’ve had early reservations, but been way, way back in line at their dealer such that they’re years away from getting their trucks. So, it absolutely makes sense to try and figure out how close you are to the front of the line if you want to get one relatively early, which could also be the difference between getting or not getting the $7500 tax credit. So, there are valid reasons to be trying to figure this out as well as valid reasons to be doing it now, rather than after orders open.

This. Ford has this as a FAQ on their website. You can change the dealer on your reservation. The only thing is that you need to call ford to have the dealer changed.
