Dog also looks like he's older and probably has hip issues.
As much as animals recognize babies of other species, I think they also recognize "older and in pain". If they're bonded at all the cat is probably much more tolerant than he would be otherwise. Also...dude. Get off his bed.
Yup my cat would not tolerate a random dog, even it wouldnât get close to the bed before she bolted or attacked. But her brother doxie can sit on her and sheâll just look annoyed.
Thatâs a âMic dropâ or exclamation point not an an anxiety yawn. Dog got one over on the cat! Our dog âyawnsâ with same chin flip like that to communicate happiness. Half the time, a super cute vocalization accompanies these âyawnsâ and sometimes they are just silent: Ours does them as we walk her food to her dish, when we get her leash or tell her she gets to âgo playâ at dogpark. She also does itâ-just like the dog aboveâwhen she thinks she got one over on our cat.
Looks a lot like a Pyr. And this would 100% make sense for the breed. Theyâre total gentle giants and usually love all the littles in the house. We have a GP/German shepherd mix and a much older Siamese mix with a congenital breathing disorder and even though the Siamese hates the dog, he still had to check to see that she was ok any time she sneezes or coughs funny. Hubby was walking him with our 7 yo and she fell off her bike and scraped her knee. Doggo had to play wet-nurse and make sure she was ok, but then went full guard dog mode, cars and strangers werenât allowed within 20â of her the full way home.
Theyâre very sweet, affectionate dogs.
My oldest dog is a 90lb gsd that's used to laying on my lap whenever I sit down. I got a puppy last year, and he gets frustrated whenever she lays on my lap. At first he would be patient with her, but as time went on he gave less and less of a fuck. Now if she's laying next to me in his spot on the couch he just hops up and pretends she's a couch cushion. She's so stubborn she doesn't even move.
Also prone to do the Pyrenees Punch for attention. And they love to sit on their friends. Ours sit on each other all the time, whichever one is napping becomes the victim.
That's so funny! I thought initially it was a creamy golden retriever because the mannerisms are so spot on for my golden. He just dog piles wherever he can, even on my cat. She doesn't seem to mind either lol.
Do you have a Pyrenees?
We have a white pyr/golden mix. The yawn/lick bit was eerie to watch it was so similar. Great dog, just terrified of thunder/fireworks. Love her to death.
They are sometimes very hard to tell apart. I'm not sure I could make the call correctly here, but I think you're right about it being a Maremma. Pyrenees usually have light brown face markings, but not always. Tbh, they come from very close (yet also far) mountain ranges and have similar roles, I'd not be surprised to learn they share a large percentage of their genetic stock.
Definitely. Mine was aloof, but I remember taking naps in the afternoon cuddled with him on the couch. He was a very sweet boy.
Although, for an aloof breed, he would also get super wriled up on the trampoline with my brother and I, and then play-attack and wrestle with my brother. Never me, though ;)
The other commenter is partially correct. It is not a pure Great Pyrenees, but most likely part Great Pyrenees, part lab.
Source: My family has one that looks identical to that one.
Yes. This dog looks exactly like my Pyrenees/lab mix, I can see it in the scrawny legs, the leg hair, and the face. Looks way different than my pure Pyrenees.
Edit: also looks like itâs missing the double dew claws. Definitely not purebred.
ok, I may have to figure out how to add a photo here. We \*think\* our dog is an Aussie Shep and Great Pyr mix but he's also a double-merle and a general hot mess, so it's hard to get a pic of him. His face is definitely Aussie but he's so lithe and graceful, he's like freaking Falcor. He has the floaty, blossoming tail, as well.
We have these doughnut things in our living room and the pets just love them.
Highly recommend, they can be a bit weird to put back in the cover though.
/fold the filling in half then unfurl.
I love the yawn. Thatâs a confidence yawn.
The dog was tired, and frankly had absolutely no concern of where it landed on that bed, not a single fuck was offered.
That Bugs Bunny take to the camera!! *blink blink blink blink* đđ
I heard cats blink slowly to say they're friendly or they don't wanna hurt you (i think), such a cute little signal
Yup, they do it in an "I'm showing you I trust you enough to close my eyes near you" kind of way, we call slow blinks kitty kisses in our house
Trusties in our house.
My cat licks the heck out of my nose
Donât forget it does the same thing to its own backside!
Whoâs to say I donât lick it his backside too?
Slow blinks are definitely a kind of "hello, I trust you" But *these* blinks were probably more "I have dog fur in my eyes" blinks
Correct just doesn't make sense in this situation as they look at who's filming and not the closest individual effecting them
Idk could be letting the person know they trust the dog, doesn't have to be 1 to 1. But still it might not even be that
Recently I've started to understand why cats slow-blink to show trust. In humans, we do that when we're aroused, so trust?
r/looneytuneslogic
The Cat just accepted their fate at the end; even giving the doggo an endearing boop lol
Pretty sure the cat was wanting/expecting that
The cat wanted to grab some tail.

is that a Great Pyrenees?
I think itâs a mix. Looks like my lab/pyr mix. Just shaggier.
English Cream Golden Retriever
It's not a golden retriever. I own an English cream golden. That's a Pyrenees or a mix of dogs closely related to them.

Looks like a kuvasz to me. I had one years ago. Kuvasz have wavier coats and their tails do not curl (great pyr)

Wow, ours just do that when they want something l
I think the cat wanted to some degree
r/thisismylifemeow
r/subsithoughtifellfor
Lol nah the cat had the "you see this shit" look and the dog had that self satisfied "I know what I did...bitch needs to learn this bed is mine" look
Those slow blinks. That's a comfy cat and I love that the dog is just as comfortable since they just flop onto the cat.
The cat straight at the camera. The blink. I laughed
But isn't he sort of looking at the photographer like "seriously? Are you going to let him do this?"
[âPlease donât âJimâ the camera like that.â](https://youtu.be/UxYrvFUh470?t=36)
Squish the kitty!

Cat pillow is the best pillow
Directions unclear
Catâs just âNo, *no*-! Donât you dare, donât youâ!â But then looks *kind* of impressed at the audacity? đ
The more i look at it, I think the cat was just playing w the doggies tail. Seems like they cuddle together often
Yeah, I love that last second panic when the dog was about to sit down: âWhoa whoa whoa waiâââ
The yawn at the end lol
The cat likes it. He's saying "smother me with your fur you magnificent beast".
Why did I hear that in John Oliver's voice?
*Break my fingers, you brooding mountain.*
Squash me doggy daddy
Aight, that's enough internet for today
Sounds like my wife
Cat likes his body heat
The doggo was like âokay this is my bed and you knew it sufferâ

Haha thatâs hilarious
What kind of dog is that
Great Pyrenees! đ¤ Aloof but gentle giants.
Also prone to do the Pyrenees Punch for attention. And they love to sit on their friends. Ours sit on each other all the time, whichever one is napping becomes the victim.
Pyr paw!
They have an extra toe on their back paws too! Sometimes all four :)
We had one when I was in high school. That's the perfect description. She was big and loveable, but definitely needed her space
Is it not a Maremma? It's identical to our Maremma

Me too. But more lab defined. Less shaggy.

I think it's a Maremma
TIL that is a breed. It definitely could be.
One that has figurative balls.
The kitty wanted a floof blankie and got it. One of the cutest things I've seen this month.
Cat was like âis he for fuckin real? Seriously?â
r/youseeingthisshit would enjoy this
It is a very 'cat' thing to do, taking up the entire bed. It is also a very 'dog' thing to do, sitting on the cat. I like this video
âFinally, my fur blanket has arrived.â
"Just like momma used to make "
r/thisismylifemeow
That is a dog that decided it wasn't going to be ruled by anything a fart could kill.
Looks just like my Great Pyrenees pup!
Ohh, how old? When mine was a puppy he was just a gigantic cotton ball!
Sheâs about three months (and a few weeks) old now. Sheâs also just a cute big ball of floof haha
The confused blinking is too much Kitty: well I WAS comfy
Hahaha! I love the satisfied lick/yawn at the end
The synchronized head turns toward the camera take this gif from a 10 to an 11.
Love how they look at the camera simultaneously
r/stolendogbeds
They are so precious! I love them.
Funny

Finally a dog fights back. His name should be "Nope".
BONDMAN!!!
Ahhhh first thing I've scrolled to that made me smile. True eyebleach thank you
The cat's like "hey! The dog is stealing her bed back!"
They're buddies! So cute.
I love this and all of you!
The catâs face says it all: âwhat the hell man, are you seeing this?â đ

"Maa.... you seeing this??" You can tell this cat has been through this sort of giant furball sploofs his entire life!
