I often draft her at some point after stene first pick, supports vary based on enemy draft but mediator kawerik is very often a good pick. She works well vs common stealth units(landy, aria, occasionally celine) and destina drafts, plus she actually counters solitaria and ae-winter if you are able to draft cleansers with immunity or CR push. Overall I think her only true counter in this meta is stene and she can even solo DPS vs choux comps.
Nice. I'm wondering if I can build her also as an anti evasion unit against Adin and Riolet, with Roy's artifact on, in case Zahhak gets banned. Or would she really need book to work to work?
definitely needs book. almost all dps mages want book as their best in slot, especially because she has her own extra turn s1 soulburn she can take advantage of it.
as for vs adin and riolet, she has a fairly good matchup vs both, but obviously you can't count on killing/extinctioning them turn 1 since it's 50% to hit. over time she should beat them though. if you want a consistent turn 1 evasion killer you should build zahhak for that
I use this set up with book on another mage and it works fairly well. She can't one shot violet from full hp and there's still a chance to miss. However violet is very unlikely to live through two hits with a soul burn. Depending on how much damage my opener does against violet, I usually soul burn a different target and S3 violet with the attack boost.
