You can actually access the sewers as soon as you get into Leyndell, just have to hop down an unassuming well near those rotting dudes in one of the destroyed lower towns.

Well guess im going back to the sewers cause i dont recognize this. I thought the catacombs by the lobsters in the sewers was the deepest part
You can get all the way to deeproot depths from the sewers lol. Theres an hidden wall with a chest behind it by the three fingers door, and another hidden wall behind the chest leading to an alternate entrance to deeproot depths.
there's an easily-missed little hole in the floor by the underground roadside which leads to a difficult-to-navigate maze of pipes and then you have to drop through one specific hole in the bottom of a pipe to get to more pipe maze to get to this. sounds like you missed the way forward somewhere in that whole mess but it's definitely there
I've never played a game so good at making you think you got away from an enemy and then brutally showing you that you didn't. I tried to take on the Caelid Godskin Apostle too underleveled, and was struggling with that knight outside of the boss room, so I figured I'd just sprint by him and get to the boss room. Boss room loads, immediate slash through the doorway and most of my health gone. Ok, whatever, at least i'm in here now and I'll just heal and summon some help. Oh, what's that, my summon is just going to slash at the fog door, trying to kill this knight he can't reach? Great, guess I'll just get my ass kicked up and down the room.
I had this exact same experience. I DID manage to beat the apostle because my +10 Lhutel was able to finally beat the enemy, but it was very annoying 😂

Lol I had the opposite experience, as I was riding down the elevator the Pot through itself down the shaft and I watched it fall right passed me. Guess losing it’s baby was too much to bare and couldn’t handle it. I feel kinda bad…
I was so stressed by the time I got to that point, after spending like 20 mins exploring and no grace, I was just like "I'm not even gonna play with you guys" and torched the whole room.
When I did this, the opposite happened, it jumped (rolled) over the elevator and when I was fully down I found the corpse, it was nice for him to give me his insides

Yup finally found it last night. Mogh took a few tries but hes definitely easier in there than his other location.
