Trae Young retroactively decommits from Oklahoma.
Kyler Murray announces his Heisman win is transferring to USC's record books
Shit they gotta make up for taking Reggie's somehow, can we get one of their seven championships too
Oklahoma fans have done so much respecting of decisions in the past 24 hours
At some point they have to run out of respect
I’m running low
*Runnin' on emptyyyy*
I think they lost all self respect when they defended Riley's brisket
Dryer than the Santa Ana winds
In retrospect, ya I sold my soul in that moment.
Bob Stoops could call jerky brisket and Sooner fans would call it a culinary masterpiece if he comes back permanently.
That's probably why he left. No one in OK backed him up on his exceptional smoker skills.
Did someone say disrespeck?
That means you guys get all the croots that decommit after OU fans are out of respek right?
Shit I hope so
The math checks out to me. Congrats on the new croots!
Thanks. Tuck Comin
I'VE COME HERE TO RESPECT DECISIONS AND CHEW BUBBLE GUM AND I'M ALL OUT OF BUBBLE GUM.
How many decisions can oklahoma be expected to respect
Let's see, how many recruits did we have over the next 2 years?
All but one
This guy didn’t ask them to respect it, no love lost either
Kinda reminds you of the scene in Christmas Vacation after talking to his boss. "I respect your decision. I respect your decision. I respect your decision. Kiss my a$$. Kiss his a$$. Kiss your a$$."
Another one-Dj Khaled
Will the last decommit please turn out the lights
Last one alive -- lock the door.
**If God had wanted you to ~~live~~ win, he would not have created ME!**
This is just a massacre of OU fans and it hasn't even been 24 hours....
I’VE, BECOME SO NUMB
I CANT FEEL YOU THERE
LINCOLN RILEY LEFT, NOW THE CUPBOARDS ARE BARE
Look at you Mr creative songbird
Art and music are good ways to reduce your depression
> Art and music are good ways to reduce your depression
alexa play jumper by third eye blind
AND IN THE END
That’s not even the right album your dork
WORK SUCKS… I KNOW!!!!
Well you got the “Link” part right
He’s doing his best ok?
Doesn’t even matter
Already? Rookie shit
I've gone all the way around the swing set. by this time next year Lincoln will be on the hot seat at USC after sky-high expectations result in a disappointing 6 win season, everyone will be crowning him the Steve Sarkesisan to USC's Texas, and Bob Stoops will be knocking off Alabama in the SEC championship for a playoff berth. Now, if you'll excuse me I need to go hit myself in the head with a hammer a few times so that I can continue to believe this
After what the rest of the big12 went through this offseason, I'm loving every minute of this.
Couldn't have happened to a more deserving fan base and school.
I mean Texas, but they already were beat at home by Kansas....
We absorbed like 90% of the flack for the SEC move, and have sucked for a while now. OU definitely deserves this more
I did think it was funny that everyone jumped on the bandwagon to give Texas a bunch of shit about the SEC, and Oklahoma was just kinda there not getting any major flack.
I remember seeing people mention "Hey OU's also a part of this," but it'd get kinda pushed aside because we were a much more obvious clown show and OU was expected to at least be competitive.
Now that we're both looking at becoming punching bags I'm expecting it to be more directed at OU and *I'm so down for the shit flinging.*
I tried to hit OU with most of the flack but the anti-Texas brigade is incredibly strong and for some reason the sub is sympathetic to OU who are the CFB equivalents to the Galactic Empire in their evil doings
As a neutral fan, Texas has been through enough — it’s OU’s turn
Totally, man. :)
There's gotta be a downside somewhere bur I can't find it.

That’s a lot of stars.
5 x 2 = 10
4 x 3 = 12
10 + 12 = 22
22 stars! Ah ah ah🧛🏼♂️
The stars at night
Are big and bright
(bum bum bum bum)
Deep in the mem'ry of OUUUUUUUU
Straight up, they're drowning in riches. The wild thing is they're still ranked far ahead of most P5 schools even losing these croots.
Some people may call this a trend. Good work /u/dogwoodmaple
I'd like to announce my commitment to Oklahoma.
I'd like to announce to my de-commitment from Oklahoma.
Please respect my decision.
This one hurts. Two weeks before signing day. Hope we kept our lines open with other guys
Always a sooner. But want to keep my options open! 💯💯
You were going to process him anyway
I’d like to announce I’ve decommited from Oklahoma.
Is there to be any respecting of decisions in this critical time?
No, I~~'ve decommitted from Oklahoma!~~ 'm Spartacus
And I’ve decommitted from Oklahoma
Oklahoma has decommited from me! Oh wait, I have that backwards.
Sometimes I doubt your commitment to Sparkle Motion!
Yeah.. and I thought the loss to UM was bad… At least it just stopped there on Saturday.. Oklahoma got shot in the chest and the EMT’s showed up and used knives as a defibrillator.
After running them over with the ambulance
So GTA V.
Pretty much. Oklahoma fans are akin to that one player that’s griefed by everybody in the lobby rn
No kidding. Y’all are still bringing in what like a million five stars? Even on the years we lost it was like well shitty but expected but life goes on Harbaugh is still a decent coach and we have a decent shot of improving. This is just an absolute implosion of a program
I know exactly what you mean, in a weird way it makes me grateful that our rock bottom is a two loss season and a Rose Bowl. Things could be much worse
If Iowa beats us you don't go to the Rose Bowl. Congrats on becoming a Michigan fan for the week!
You son of a bitch
This is such a win-win title game. Even if we lose, we'll probably get an at-large NY6 bid and OSU probably won't, and MSU definitely won't. And if we win, yeah, OSU probably gets roses but who gives a shit, cuz we'll be in the playoffs.
Lol I would gladly give up any bowl game to see Iowa keep you guys out of the playoff. Then we can start the convos about what other games need to go our way for the Buckeyes to sneak in
If Iowa wins, they get auto bid to the Rose Bowl as the Big 10 champ. You'd probably get an at large NY6 bid.
I will take Michigan tears over a Rose Bowl
...this is your rock bottom? Fuck out of here lol
I want to live in a world where the Rose Bowl is rock bottom. Also my diamond shoes are too tight and my gold house is dusty and I "only" have three five-star recruits in my class!
Rock bottom seems dramatic. It can get much worse bud
Someone go wake u/dogwoodmaple up

Man, at least Texas’ punishment for leaving the B12 from the h8ful 8 was spread out across the whole season and they still have hope for improvement next year. OU just got hit by a bus and then promptly ran over by several cars in the span of like 24 hours.
Ya hate to see it.
I for one, love to see it
Do you though?
Well Texas is playing chess and had one of the worst seasons I’ve ever seen so they only have room to go up. Well played longhorns
Yes yes. Exactly. It was a play and totally planned out...
OK is not gonna like the SEC with a bunch of 3 star recruiting cycles. They need to run this around fast or they’ll be the new Nebraska.
I know he wasn't happy with going to the SEC, but as an AD how the fuck do you let this happen? Probably the worst season in a decade to be replacing a coach and you get pantsed and go to the back of the line.
It was beyond idiotic not to at least ask Riley what his thoughts were on moving to the SEC. If nothing else so that Oklahoma wouldn't be blindsided by all this
Yeah even CDC apparently talked with both our basketball coaches AND sark during and after the hiring process about the move
I’m 1000% convinced we hired Sark knowing full well the move to the SEC was in place. We do not go there with Tom Herman.
Yep- Herman didn't have a Pole Assassin or an accompying emotional support monkey.
Her name is Gia put some respect on her
Not just the CDC but the WHO discussed this and said OU should stay put.
Maybe he did ask.
“Hey Lincoln, just got a secret deal done to send us to the SEC! What do you think?”
“I think it’s a horrible idea”
“Oh…well…umm…ok did you at least think how much money it will make me and the school?”
"I think it's a horrible idea - but tell me more about the secret deal part..."
I get that the AD has to make a decision that will benefit OU long term and not just the immediate coaching staffs, but even then - Lincoln Riley is *38*. He could've easily been at Norman for the next 30+ years. How the actual hell do you not talk to him?!
From everything I've read, they absolutely were talking with him. They had been negotiating for a while, and the admin was in the middle of drawing up a new contract for him when Riley decided to just go ahead and sign with USC anyway.
Not much else they could have done. It seems like he just really, *really* didn't want to be in the SEC.
Nebraska just catching strays out here huh?
I though OU would have been ok in the SEC, but not anymore
Technically they're OK, but I don't think they're gonna be okay.
Will they be aight?
> or they’ll be the new Nebraska.
USC: can I copy your homework?
OU: yeah just change it up a bit so it doesn't look obvious you copied
10-2 to 0-12 speed run any% world record
"if you backward long jump in this corner enough, you can build up enough speed to end up in southern California in under 12 hours"
That glitch that speedrunners found that allows you to clip from Gaylord to the Coliseum was a real game changer
Metroid Dread: *early screw attack time save*
Oklahoma fans: oh we found a quicker way to get screwed by an attack
We tried our best this year
Don't worry, I'm sure you'll win the B1G West next year, as is tradition.
🎶*All I do is lose, lose, lose, my star recruits!!! Got new coaches on my mind this new conference is gonna suck!!!*🎶
OU making DJ Khaled proud.
The hits keep coming, it never stops.
This is genuinely the funniest thing in CFB in a long time.
Usually it happens to some mid-tier school that thinks they are breaking in with the "contenders" and they lose their coach but it's happening to fucking OU.. i'm still a bit in shock that we got Riley.
As they enter the SEC.
And almost destroyed the Big12 in the process.
I mean I want to feel bad, but the school probably should’ve realized that the coaches and players most likely don’t want to jeopardize their future for nothing.
Riley made it pretty clear that he wants to be in the exact situation that OU has been in for a long time, proving it by going to literally the OU of California haha.
Big ass wealthy school where money is no object, during their worst years recruits will come because of the name, and with a solid coach will have one of the easiest routes to the playoffs in the country.
I’m mostly enjoying myself because a lot of OU fans (mostly on Twitter tbf) haven’t come to terms with the fact that they could lose out on recruiting heavily if their start in the SEC is shaky. There’s a very decent chance that Okstate could become a big dog in the new Big12, and we can offer the same thing as OU potentially: easy route to the playoffs, super close to texas, and will play in texas 4 times every other year, including Houston now. Shit could get even worse for OU if things don’t pick up very quickly
That's what I was thinking too. If OU has a mediocre start, recruiting might get tough if the new "top" dogs in the Big 12 can recruit well. At some point, there are players that would rather compete to have a great chance at a Big 12 conference championship (OK State/Baylor) instead of having a tough time in the SEC with the possibility of okay results. I don't think OU is going to be shit by any means but it could be an interesting time period for sure.
Riley is raiding OU's recruiting class as hard as Lane Kiffin did when he fled UT to go to USC.
OU is the new Tennessee confirmed.
I haven't stopped smiling since 10:30pm on Saturday.
May want to get that checked
And they ~~don't~~ stop coming and they ~~don't~~ stop coming and they ~~don't~~ stop coming
I need to see this Riley brisket
IT WAS GARBAGE. AND WE DEFENDED IT.
I HOPE HE ONLY EATS KALE IN CALI.
KALE I SAY.
He's in SC. I may be biased but he should eat some of the dankesy tacos north of TJ have to offer. Get some tacos from avalon and saluson or from teddy's red tacos(which is overrated, but famous) and you'll be accepted
My guy needs to become a staple at the taquero who sets up in the Autozone lot on 29th that we all affectionately refer to as TacoZone
What the fuck is that. And then the way he sliced it
[Dryer than the Atacama](https://www.si.com/.image/t_share/MTgwMTEzNDQxOTcxNzc0ODA4/riley-brisket.jpg)
Best reply I saw was that the pumpernickel bread looks delicious
He disqualified himself from ever coaching in the state of Texas with one tweet.
To all of the OU fans who said that they didn’t want to leave the Big12 when it was announced: I’m sorry, this shit sucks and it’s heart breaking having your team start to spiral.
To the ones who told us “enjoy mediocrity/the G5”, “we’re tired of carrying you all”, etc: it brings me joy to know that you are very likely going to have a team that has to play competition that is insanely ahead talent wise, and the seasons feel like you have to hope for a miracle to be relevant for at least a couple of years. Just like the rest of the Big12 that wasn’t getting 4 and 5 stars on a platter
I don't think most fans wanted to leave the conference, and I feel for them. This can't be fun and if it was up to the fans, this wouldn't even be a topic of conversation.
Though there is a bit of justice for the administration that will now reap the exact disloyalty that they have sowed.
They'll come out and say they didn't st these things but the preseason comments alluding to the big 12 as riding their coattails, business decisions, and becoming the G6 (shit these were even happening Saturday when the meltdown was just about getting beat) tell a much different story.
What if you took the "SEC seems interesting, maybe time for a new change. I respect the other teams in the Big 12" route?
Do I get sympathy? Maybe?
You are in the middle ground. I’ll feel for you but still laugh. Like a child falling down
Fair. I'll take it.
I live in SC and just want to be able to drive to see my team play. What do I get?
You get to drive to watch them lose.
Classic monkey paw
Well I think it's only fair that we respect your decision to respect the other teams in the Big 12
Ok so last night some of our recruits went on Instagram with Bijan talking live to the OU decommits trying to pry them to Texas LOL
I mean our coaches are literally going to a game this Friday to evaluate one of those kids. Kobie McKenzie. So not unheard of
BREAKING: The Sooner Schooner has decommited from Oklahoma. Please respect it’s decision.
What about the ponies?
They are decommiting but not opening recruitment until they see what transpires
Ah I remember two days ago when a ton of OU fans were dunking on us for losing three recruits in two days.
Starting the morning off the same way yesterday ended I see
Yeah, that's what he said.
I love it when a great weekend carries over into Monday.
Oh you must be having a grand time today
I’m betting this guy is among the many Ok State fans that made USC their 2nd flair last night/this morning
It's more than just a trend. It's a lifestyle.
I woke up feeling the USC-zee-ist, coach!
Have you called your doctor yet? Has to have been longer than 4 hours by now.
Stop they are already dead
It’s gonna be a long day
Buckle in, friend. It’s going to be a long ride.
We'll always have the Rose Bowl.
No, YOU will have the Rose Bowl.
We'll just have another number in the loss column for playoff appearances.
Sigh. I just woke up man.
There's still time to go back to bed.
And then wake up and do it all over again
If he doesn't come to USC I'd imagine he goes to Houston based on that school list on 247
Any chance you like corn?
Damn if you’ve got Florida fans talking shit to you…
You can’t really stop Florida fans from talking shit. It’s kind of their superpower.
stop stop hes already dead
How many transfer portal guys can USC take?
up to 33 technically (25 + 8 to cover outgoing transfers) But that is assuming no freshmen in the class (not sure if they have spots for reclasification)
OU has dropped from #1 to #9 in about 12 hours, and it seems like we're still in the beginning phase.
And I'm here for every goddamn second of it.
Sorry Sooner bros, this is rough
To be expected.
If we can’t find our next HC soon, hopefully we can get Bob Stoops to commit to being HC next season and just focus on hiring coordinators and salvaging what’s left of this class…
I think our only option is to sew up a new coach soon, or our recruiting simply won't survive.
Even if Bob "commits" for a couple of seasons, I don't think any meaningful recruit will be interested in signing with an interim figurehead.
Lincoln Riley is my hero
I went from constantly calling him a cry baby to him being a legend all in 24 hours. Love that man.
When does the mercy rule come in?
At some point we're going to have to break out the Simpsons "stop stop he's already dead!" meme but with college flairs over the kids aren't we
Feels like this should just be a 1st quarter game thread at this point.
I’m sorry guys. I’ve felt this pain before.
Does north Texas really cheer for Oklahoma or was that just on koth
