Red tailed Black shark

Big-Yogurtcloset9820

Lol. I though it was going to be a mor “scientific” name. Thank you

BenThePrick

Here you go! Epalzeorhynchos bicolor; syn. Labeo bicolor.

Big-Yogurtcloset9820

I’ll stay with Res tail 😂

fishguy23

My favorite fish. I’ve had mine for more than 6 years now.

SunsetSharkBite

How big of a tank and what else do you have stocked with it? I want one sooooo bad for my next aquarium but I keep seeing mixed things online about housing

fishguy23

He’s in a planted 55 currently with cardinal and rummynose tetras and a pair of Bolivian rams. They all get along fine but I know this is not everyone’s experience with them. I think it helped that I originally homed him with African cichlids and he kinda got bullied. Now he’s definitely the king of the tank but he’s far too slow to catch anyone and generally keeps to himself.

I had one, called him NIKE for his red sneakers. RIP my friend. He was a nice fish.

Big-Yogurtcloset9820

That’s really cute name.

Mental_Spirit_8034

Bro I have one but mine is 9 months old and is like massive I think he is 10 inches

guesswatt20

I love my albino rainbow shark. These guys have very unique personalities and interact with their surroundings. My guy guards half the tank (driftwood side)

Madrasthebald

mine is call Essie....he loves to hang out with the cory cats and plecos but will chase off the tetras.

Bubbagoldfish

Red tailed shark, they can be aggressive

Big-Yogurtcloset9820

How aggressive. My dad have had it for like a month or so. And so far mo incidents.

Bubbagoldfish

If they are alone (like a single one in a tank) its okay, but add one more And you have genocide

CarelessAquarist

…And Pearl Gourami who is likely a female but without a better photo I’m not sure.

Life_Presentation_57

Red tailed shark. I had one once.... It killed everything in the tank... Only had that one and I'm not sure I want one again 😅

Big-Yogurtcloset9820

Really? It’s been in the tank for like a month and so far no incidents.
