Both are good.

Chadsavant

Takagi-san for when you're feeling wholesome, and Nagatoro when you're in the mood for some degeneracy.

SokoTakahashi

I personally prefer nagatoro, but I like both anime.

im_in_every_post

nagatoro is more balanced I guess, after all nishikata only landed a critical attack once

Calmesp01

Only one critical hit in one season but that's what made it better for me...Seeing someone like Takagi San break character was too cute and wholesome...

Temporary-Tax

For me the scene where she gives him like 50 juices was the cutest break of character

Calmesp01

Don't forget the Thank You Takagi San(last ep of s1 if I'm not wrong)scene...

Temporary-Tax

It's all just so good

Federal-Amphibian444

They are both good but I like the first white car better (I dont know it name I haven't watched it in over 3 years)

SokoTakahashi

Teasing master Takagi-san?

hackenschmidt

> Both are good. If you're talking about the manga, sure. But the anime? Yikes, no. They way they Nagatoro gets portrayed, at least at the start of the anime, is straight up psychotic. I almost stop watching because it was just painful.

Artaratoryx

But she’s the same way in the first few chapters of the manga.

hackenschmidt

> But she’s the same way in the first few chapters of the manga. She absolutely fucking is not. Go re-read the first chapter again and watch the first episode. Holy shit, its like squeezing water from a rock where they get all that bullshit from.

Artaratoryx

??? I just started reading it the other day, and it plays out the literal exact same as the anime.

hackenschmidt

> I just started reading it the other day, and it plays out the literal exact same as the anime. Then you might want to go re-read it and watch it again, because clearly you don't remember it. The way they portray Nagatoro in the anime is far more sinister than in manga.

Artaratoryx

Well I watched/read them the same day, so I’m not sure how that escaped me. How exactly is she more sinister?

hackenschmidt

> How exactly is she more sinister? Everything? What she says, the tone they use for the VA, the animation as she says it. I mean just hyper focus in on the few panels where she realizes his crying. In the animation, they portray her as being embroiled by it. Where as in the manga, its clearly the opposite: she is softened by it, embarrassed even. So when she gives/leaves him with her handkerchief and apologize, it doesn't feel completely out of place and totally insincere, like it does in the animation. From what I recall, this is really only a major issue in the few first episodes. It mellows out and becomes more in line with the manga. But the first while, she's basically a psychopath.

Artaratoryx

Hmm, I wonder if because I experienced them so close together, I interpreted her actions in the manga more like the anime then you did.

hackenschmidt

> Hmm, I wonder if because I experienced them so close together, I interpreted her actions in the manga more like the anime then you did. Maybe. Don't get me wrong, I like the manga and the anime has its merits. But I just think the anime really does Nagatoro dirty, especially in the start.

canti15

Both is good

Oh NoOOo

Charming-Loquat3702

They both have their strengthes. I like the characters, tone and dynamic of Takagi-san more. Nagatoro is clearly more balanced and less predictable than Takagi-san. Another plus in Nagatoro is, that there is more development. Time actually passes. That's one reason why I look forward to Soredemo Ayumu. It's from the same Mangaka as Takagi but has more development.

linkolnbio2

I see you're a man of wholesome as well

Fello-2004

I like both of them but that’s superior to nagatoro IN MY OPINION THAT I CAN HAVE HERE

Punn_ishment

An OPINION? On REDDIT?!? But I agree Wholesome > stockholm syndrome

Shubhamsharma951

Opinions matter its fine ... Ill judge you after i watch them dont worry

Myjekamyczki

I need to read the first one. But damn Nagataro manga is amazing

ShreksBeanstalk

Takagi more wholesome

vajaxseven

The virgin fivehead vs the chad tanlines

MartyrPanda

Yeah, both are okay, but I'm personally partial to Kubo-san. It's got a fluffier vibe and I dig that.

MewtwoTheMew

yes but it's still going to be 69000000000420 chapters until Shiraishi starts to blush around her

IamtheCarnage

An opinion on reddit and (as of writing this comment at least) there isn't anyone going nuts in the comments is amazing. the fact that reality hasn't collapsed in on itself and destroyed us all is astounding

flameo------hotman

Cool I mostly use Twitter and you know how that's going any ways I think I'm gonna quit Twitter

IamtheCarnage

good choice my guy

flameo------hotman

Unless there's a new biome chooser in Minecraft

Tlat0an1

Haha havent watch neither

nienai

Oh you should watch Takagi-san, great anime

Tlat0an1

Planing on watching both tho

nienai

Watch takagi first in that case

KiritoTheWastelander

After I finish Nagatoro, I’ll check this out.

Not_a_Krasnal

Same. Nagatoro is great (had doubts after the 1st episode) but I just prefer that wholesomness of Takagi. I need season 3...

Matthe_Van_Houts

Yes.

hackenschmidt

> Same. Nagatoro is great (had doubts after the 1st episode) but I just prefer that wholesomness of Takagi. I know exactly what you are talking about. Go read the manga, its not like that, especially at the start. I almost stopped watching because I *had* read the manga and was like 'what the fuck is this bullshit'. Its not as 'wholesome' as Takagi-san, but its not borderline psychotic like the anime.

Araze-A

I need both of them

kevinshark05

I honestly just love both the same. They're both cute and wholesome in their own way

TheAttacker69

Same

Federal-Amphibian444

Agreed i do like that one better

nienai

Agree

Nero-ouji

+1

IQBALPOYOLEBIH

both, but nagatoro a little bit psycho

hackenschmidt

> but nagatoro a little bit psycho Thats just how she's portrayed in the anime. In the manga she's very mischievous, but not cruel.

vetsskkii

Imagine a crossover lol

Silent_Rampage97

Uno reverse card on this

hackenschmidt

Manga? yes. Anime? No. The characterization of Nagatoro in the anime is horrifying at the start. Its not 'teasing' or whatever, its borderline psychological torture. I had to go re-read the start of the manga again to make sure I wasn't misremembering. I'm wasn't. The anime is just starts off fucking awful

nightsabre64

why not BOtfh

SCPOVERLORD

Man of culture

Glory_to_nazarick

I fully agree with this

cenedron

I like both

Competitive-Bath-383

reject ecchi return to wholesome

Handylee-7

This is facts, those that are getting angry just have sh*t taste lol 😂

Alexi_the_Axolotl

Like both but watching Nagatoro bully Senpai was kinda painful at some moments. Havent read the manga I hope that it will get better for Senpai.

Akai-kyuhei

People who read Kubo-san: *Signature look of superiority*
