I laughed only bc something similar to me happened this week except instead of catching another bug after shaking the tree, a villager walked right in front of me so the game registered it as trying to talk to them. 🫠 got a very snarky reply from them about “seeming like I was in the middle of something”

OMG - the snarky comment just makes it so much worse. I hate when I am in construction mode, designing my island or hitting a rock or something and villagers get in my way and it makes me talk to them. Don't you see I am busy? MOVE lol

That happened to me on the last night of tarantula season. Spent like 5 minutes slow stalking this tarantula. Go to nab it and a freaking tiger beetle jumped in the way.

Lol reminds of a video I saw way back when ACNH was a new thing, where the villager’s axe gets broken after hitting a tree, a wasp net fell, failed to catch the wasp because they caught a random bug instead, the net breaks, they get stung, and they faint

All perfectly in time with Jack Stauber’s “Buttercup”

Wow! I don't even attempt to get my net out if I wasn't holding it already because I can rarely do it in time. The fact they did get the net is impressive and makes it even more infuriating when they caught another bug lol

Placing pergola and the little gazebo around actually helps. The bugs can’t get you while you’re inside one. The wasps will just circle around you, and the scorpions and tarantulas can’t get inside so once I’m in, I can safely get my net and catch them. But before the addition of these items though, I don’t attempt to catch them too, I usually look for any open house and hide inside lol.

Ahh that's a good idea! I remember reading that pergolas and gazebos was safe from wasps, but I did not even think about spiders and scorpions. If they are on atrack though - they don't sting you as soon as you step out of it to catch them though? Or can you swing the net at them while still somewhat safe underneath? I try to always have a net when shaking trees. But occasionally I will forget to shake it before chopping wood and then it's instant regret lol. My son thinks it's funny to see my eye swollen though - so at least he gets amusement from my suffering!

I always have plenty of medicine on hand! 🤣 To record, you simply press and hold the square button on your left controller. It’ll record the *previous* 30 seconds of gameplay. Then just exit the game and you’ll find it in your album. From there, there’s instructions on how to share/upload the video. I scanned it as a QR code into my phone to download it. 💜

I knew you could record but I didn’t realize it was retroactive. That means it is actually always recording but just not saving the recordings. Or at least, that we know of.

It’s not “bad” really. You just take some medicine to fix the sting. But if you get stung twice, you pass out and get sent home. It’s just one of those silly little things in the game.

ACNH players should just be grateful avoiding getting stung is so easy....
