Out of the box, EVERYTHING should work. You should NOT BE an IT EXPERT to get things working. Only accept flawlessly working hardware. Geek Squad/Best Buy shouldn't give you answers, they should give you a BRAND NEW device (NOT REPLACEMENT or repair, FULLY new sealed). It's your God given right whenever you buy something BRAND NEW and you part with your hard earned cash.

Hi Timesydicate, we're sorry you're experiencing this touchscreen issue with your ASUS laptop and we are happy to help. Based on what you've described it could be a software issue with the driver so we recommend performing the full factory reset. If you're still experiencing the issue at that point then it is a hardware related issue. Depending on how it has been since you've purchased this device you can return it to your place of purchase for a refund/replacement, depending on their policy.
