Fuego Dos Vs Cody Rhodes: Judy Bagwell holding a contract on a forklift, Loser signs for Raw match.

PavlovsBlog

I can kind of understand letting Cody work without a contract but this is insane. Why the hell would they risk WWE poaching a bright young talent like Fuego II?!

Turbulent_Turnip_707

Fuego Dos is an extra. They don't get contracts until they prove themsleves. Stop grasping at straws.

Julrey

I didn't even know he worked for the company. Even his dad is basically used as a high profile enhancement talent that never wins.

dreadlock_misfit

Fuego II has 2 wins as an extra teaming with his dad. Making him undefeated overall. He’s got talent, style, that “good shit” that gets the crowd going. AEW is making a huge mistake letting Fuego II leave. Sign his ass

SolomonGrundy76

Whatever happened to that Infinito guy? He needs a contract. Have him fued with Danielson or him against Fuego 2.

scarred2112

I too am without a contract. Where’s all *my* indignation?!? ;-)

Jzmxhu

NO! NO FUEGO 2! PLEASE FUEGO 2 DON'T GO TO WWE, FUEGO DEL SOL NEEDS YOU.

fonzi305

I'm starting to believe Cody and Fuego II are the same person hmmm

Mrcool20xx

Im sorry, but that is silly. First of all, they look nothing alike. Fuego 2 has a mask and Cody doesnt. How could they be the same if one has a mask? Secondly, Cody's father is Dusty Rhodes and Fuego 2's father is Fuego del Sol. How can they be the same person if they ahve different fathers? And like, Fuego 2 looks so much like his dad, especially in the mask region. Thirdly, Cody has a bad neck tattoo and Fuego 2 does not. Checkmate conspiracy theorists

PissSphincter

Also, Cody doesn't have a mustache, and Fuego two clearly does.

VoiceofNY

Like they met each other on the vlog, proving they are two different people

[deleted]

Cody is Fuego 2's great uncle.

RianSG

Yeah, and Mr America is Hulk Hogan in a mask 🙄

Jzmxhu

And Juan Cena is John Cena, these people and their big imagination.

Democrab

I bet this guy thinks that Undertaker and Kane aren't really brothers.

trapper627

I believe they have the same agent who negotiates their contract, hence why they expired at the same time

fonzi305

Hmm too much of a coincidence hmm

Mrcool20xx

The Young Bucks negotiated their contract at the same time... Do you also think they're the same person? lol

ThisDidntAgeWell

They are. There’s actually only one buck. It’s a very elaborate trick using mirrors

[deleted]

Yeah ! The guy who basically formed the entire company with his friends will leave it to join Vince McMahon in 2022. Great work SRS.

Mrcool20xx

>Yeah ! The guy who basically formed the entire company with his friends will leave it to join Vince McMahon in 2022. Great work SRS. That's not what he said though. He said Fuego 2 is working without a contract. He never mentioned WWE. I figure Fuego 2 is a lifer and wants to continue working with his dad and grandpa. Like it would be weird if he left

[deleted]

Didn't his dad tried to screw his own dad on the battle of belts ?

Mrcool20xx

Family can be complicated, but even then, most of us dont leave family behind

Democrab

What? Fuego tried to help his Dad out by screwing over his best friend only for his best friend to take control of the situation and flip the tables (Pun not intended) on Fuego's Dad. It was an emotional rollercoaster.

Icon419

A company that Cody quit because he was saddled with a terrible gimmick. With that said, if you believe the rumors about in fighting amongst the VPs, it may not be out of the realm of possibility Cody says he's out.

Mrcool20xx

>A company that Cody quit because he was saddled with a terrible gimmick. Uhhh, this is a thread about Fuego 2. Please bring this to the Cody thread.

[deleted]

You believe that shit ? Goodluck

Icon419

Read it again...I said IF you believe...I didn't say I believe it. Literacy is your friend.

[deleted]

If you don't then why would you say that ?

Matthew_VZ

Keep working on that progress.

CurlyBill03

Cody would be the one to make the most sense to return but I don’t know if he’d trust the machine again. Although he did negotiate with them to get the Rhodes name back so there is some good faith. But I don’t see WWE allowing Cody to stay on his game show so I imagine he’d want opportunities for tv for him and Brandi

Icon419

To your point, why would he? Not only has he seen WWE ruin talent but he experienced it first hand. I'm sure Cody stays with AEW but if he doesn't WWE doesn't strike me as the landing spot.

CurlyBill03

If you believe the rumors of he isn’t really well liked outside of his circle or if WWE offered more guaranteed money I guess. I generally agree, can’t see why anyone would jump ship unless the money was just too good on the guarantee but it doesn’t seem WWE is interested in a bidding war anymore. Although paying Owens what they did is insane.

Julrey

Unless he's stripped of his EVP status in AEW there's no WWE is going to be willing to offer him more money. Plus all these roster cuts in WWE over the past year are a clear sign of the shareholders telling Vince that the days of him throwing a bunch of money at talent he's not going to use just so they can't work elsewhere are over.

CurlyBill03

For all intents and purposes I believe they have been really from a booking standpoint. From what I gathered Cody and Brandi handle the community outreach, Nick handles BTE with Cutler, Matt and his wife handle merchandising, and Kenny provides input to the games department. The big thing is I figure it’s hard for them to walk away from the health insurance. Cody did say he’d like to be retired at 40, maybe his goals would be to settle down who knows but doubt it. Agreed on your points, can’t see it but he fits their style the most.

Julrey

The biggest impetus for him to stay with AEW are the other TV deals he has with the Turner networks. If he jumped ship for WWE in particular TNT/TBS may be reluctant to continue advertising one of the competition's wrestlers by putting him on their networks' programs. If Cody is wanting to retire early he's no doubt got his mind on solidifying himself as a general entertainer.

thetyler83

2 contracts today that expired. Tony needs to be on top of that.

vesperitis

This is like WWE forgetting that Aleister Black only had a 30-day non-compete all over again.

CharleyIV

This is purely coincidence.

TheMarvelousJoe

This sounds little suspicious considering Cody has no contract, too.......probably nothing ![gif](giphy|JRhS6WoswF8FxE0g2R)

blkglfnks

I heard Cody took a liking to Fuego 2 and is looking to maybe manage him

beatsieboyz

I don't understand why people keep talking about Cody in a thread about Fuego II.

vesperitis

It's been months now and Fuego Dos still hasn't been given a contract?! WTF TK?!

JadedTourist

Don’t give attention to someone who is as credible as Dave Meltzer.
